Ratings and Reviews
Great application that allows for convenient interactions with your physician in the John Muir Health network.
Latest version appears to have corrected the grey box reply issues.
Future enhancement suggestions:
• iOS fingerprint log in for extra layer of security
• Reduce the number of taps required to view lab and diagnostics results with normal ranges
•Flag highs and lows appropriately.
• Prescription renewal/refill requests
Solid app with room to grow.
My husband & I both use this app to request appointments, check latest lab results & compare month-over-month for at least 1-years’ time span or view them in graph form. I appreciate the email notifications advising availability of lab results, X-rays or the like for my viewing. I also use the app to look up medical terminology or choose a new doctor or specialist. I use the app to communicate questions that I have following an appointment or about medication usage or changes. I direct questions that can be answered by the doctor’s medical staff, so as not to interrupt my physician at every turn—I try to be respectful. I love having access to my medical history, since mine is rather complicated. Having it available for questions posed by the occasional doctor that doesn’t use the system is also valuable.
I noticed reviews about concerns from Seniors about using the app & think it would be great if somehow a volunteer patient advocate could train anyone who is interested, perhaps prior to or after an appointment. Maybe the app developers could create a training module that the patient advocate could use for training purposes. There are many wellness programs offered at various locations by my network—that might be a better place for training to occur. It’s too bad that the education of the Senior-segment of our populace isn’t being taught how to use this tool for their own good. It’s empowering to be able to navigate & take charge of your own medical concerns where possible.
Lacks full functionality of the website
Good idea and to the extent that info and features are available they sort of work (messages, lab results, etc). Lab results that are scanned are not visible. Prescriptions are not there at all and neither is the Bills & Payments feature from the website. The app is a place to view messages, make appointments/view appointment calendar, and view some lab results. In other words there is a lot missing that one might use.
