GLATIRAMER ACETATE INJECTION is a prescription medicine used for the treatment of people with relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis (MS), to include clinically isolated syndrome, relapsing-remitting disease, and active secondary progressive disease, in adults.

Do not take GLATIRAMER ACETATE INJECTION if you are allergic to glatiramer acetate or mannitol.

Some patients report a short-term reaction right after injecting glatiramer acetate.
This reaction can involve flushing (feeling of warmth and/or redness), chest tightness or pain with heart palpitations, anxiety, and trouble breathing. These symptoms generally appear within minutes of
an injection. Call your doctor right away if you have any of these symptoms and do not give yourself more injections until your doctor tells you to.

Chest pain may occur either as part of the immediate post-injection reaction or on its own. This pain usually only lasts a few minutes. You may experience more than one such episode, usually

beginning at least one month after starting treatment. Tell your doctor if you experience chest pain.

A permanent indentation under the skin (lipoatrophy and, rarely, death of your skin tissue also referred to as necrosis) at the injection site may occur due to local destruction of fat tissue. Be sure to follow your doctor’s instruction on how to use glatiramer acetate injection and be sure to choose a different injection site each time you use glatiramer acetate injection.

The most common side effects in studies of GLATIRAMER ACETATE INJECTION are redness, pain, swelling, itching, or a lump at the site of injection, rash, shortness of breath, and flushing.
These are not all the possible side effects of GLATIRAMER ACETATE INJECTION. For a complete list, ask your doctor or pharmacist. Tell your doctor about any side effects that you have while taking GLATIRAMER ACETATE INJECTION.

You are encouraged to report negative side effects of prescription drugs to the FDA.

Fix it?

I’ve lost data, but only because I had to delete & re-install twice so far. I set it up for 3x a week injections twice, and it suddenly started alerting me to daily injections, which throws off my rotation of injection sites. I have had to keep a log of sites/dates on paper, so the app is basically only good for alerts, which I can set alarms for on my phone. If it worked the way it’s supposed to, it would be a 5 star rating from me. I would love to see it fixed.

Needs updates

It’s a pretty decent app if you’re on daily injections, and I especially like the note function. But recently I went on a trip crossing time zones, and all my data disappeared! I was so frustrated that my entire tracking history was gone, and I downloaded another injection tracker, but I didn’t like that one very much. Then I got home, and just curious, I opened this app back up, and all my data was back!

As others mentioned, I don’t like how if you turn off the daily tips, the app opens to a reminder that your tips are turned off. I’ve been doing this for almost 15 years. I’ve got this. I don’t need the tips. PLEASE do an update fixing the bugs about traveling across time zones, the inability to just open to the daily injection screen, and the problem others have if they’re only injecting three times a week.

A needed improvement

I like the app, it’s helpful being able to take notes about the injection and I really like tracking the location of each injection. I’ve been using it for 2 months.

It would be so much more helpful to see the accumulation of all the spots you’ve injected. I have to keep looking back at past days because you are suppose to rotate injection spots. It seems like it would be easy to update the app so you could see all the spots you’ve injected until it’s time to start over. Thanks
