Description
The Abbott Insertable Cardiac Monitor (ICM) is a slim profile device which continuously monitors your heart rhythm and automatically records events of interest as configured by your doctor. The myMerlin™ app securely and proactively transmits information per a schedule set by your doctor. The app’s intuitive user-friendly interface allows you to record symptomatic events, view past and upcoming transmissions and helps you stay connected with your doctor. This makes it easier for your healthcare provider to obtain information about your heart’s rhythm. Some ICM device models include the ability for the device monitoring settings to be updated remotely by a healthcare provider.
This app will only function once paired with an Abbott Insertable Cardiac Monitor, an implantable device available via prescription only.

Incredibly annoying startup sound
This app appears to do its job but it has an incredibly annoying startup sound that cannot be turned off.
This issue has been reported for years based on the reviews so I must think Abbott has little care for its end users.

This Thing Blows……
Looking back in hindsight(always 20/20) I should have read the reviews of this product however being the trusting soul I am, I assumed my cardio guy would install a device that works….. not in this case or apparently in many other instances (read the reviews). The app fails to load, even after deleting it from the smart phone & reinstalling numerous times…. The actual device doesn’t appear to connect via Bluetooth with any sense of regularity…. Why is this product even on the market? Why are cardio guys installing this crap?? Oh that’s right, they’re getting paid by the device manufacturers (very well I assume) to install this crap into us lab rats….. sell the stock or better yet, don’t buy it!

The Abbot Marketing Team Got it Wrong.
Oh, the app - yeah it works ok, but it’s the incredibly annoying and unavoidable start up jingle that always wakes up my wife - but only at the wrong time. Even Customer Service acknowledges many other users have also complained… but apparently still no joy. Abbot, how about offering your customers the option to turn off the start up sound entirely?! Now that would bring this 1 star review up to 4.5 stars, for sure.
