Worst app!

I bought this lamp because of this app however you should be able to adjust profiles with the lamp off number one number two sometimes i will open the app and it will just randomly cycle through modes like a ghost, most importantly though it forgets your profile settings!! When you launch the app and it's open for a little while it will show you totally different values for your settings in your lamp you must re-close that app and reopen it again it'll show you correct profiles however updating your lamp profiles is a crapshoot whether it will upload the correct values or not or the random values that it just sometimes sets a big disapointmen!

effectively you can't setup your profiles while in off line mode. But the battery consumption in bluetooth mode is very insignifiant. Can you tell us what kind of problems do you have when loading profiles ? Please write to the following adress: app@petzl.com
The live mode is a real live mode that means parametes are lost when you leave this mode (by navigating in other app menus or killing the application). But it does not loose anything when your phone go to sleep mode (only if you switch off your phone).

Dependable and powerful lighting as promoted. Too many times have I purchased an outdoors product with expectations from advertisement capability, just to be let down. Cost is affordable for quality of purchase. Thought had problem with battery, contacted customer service, same day reply and with just a couple communications the rep had me back up and running. Was simple human error(mine). Am an outdoors recreation and hunting guide. Clearly lighting is of UTMOST necessity. Recommend PETZL to all fellow colleagues. In my circle of ppl in same industry are almost all using PETZL with satisfaction on professional level. CANNOT operate without lighting. No room for error/malfunction in real time operations in deep country. Therefore PETZL is my go-to equipment of choice. Confidently recommend to all, for personal and professional use. The petzl headlamp is amazing. The app is just okay. Definitely good features. Organization feels like it could be different or more intuitive. That’s not really an issue. However, the fact that when in Bluetooth mode the app doesn’t just stay connected to the headlamp is frustrating. When turning the headlamp on it connects without any issues. But when I put my phone in my pocket and come back to the app to make an adjustment then it no longer sees the headlamp and I have to turn the headlamp off and on again. Minor issue. But could be major if I were to get injured and needed to quickly and easily use the SOS feature. Not sure if there is a fix to this or if it’s a limitation of Bluetooth technology. But it if there was it would be a game changer in regards to ease of use.
