I actually never write reviews but I just had to for this app! This app is absolutely amazing, they take so many factors into consideration when matching you with Contributors. These factors include; age, dress size, bra size, hair color, skin color (all so they can show you people who LOOK like you, wearing clothes that will best suit what YOU look like). I’m so happy that I came across this app because it really inspires my fashion. After being stuck in quarantine for so long my clothes are begging to be worn and this app allows me to see different styles that I’d love to replicate. This app also helps to eliminate ordering clothes that you THINK will fit you and ultimately saves you money in the long run (remember that item you swore you were going to return?). I also love and appreciate the fact that regular people (as opposed to celebrities) are given the opportunity to become a contributor, all you need to do is apply! Often times people have negative thoughts about startups because they think that it the creators will drop the ball but people fail to realize that because it’s a startup the creators are keen to hear your opinion so they can make improvements! This is a chance to have your opinion heard and help this app be the best it can be SO hurry up and download it NOW so that when it blows up you can tell people you knew about it first ;)

I downloaded this app because of an IG ad I saw. It showed a sign-up page with different gender options, and I got excited! I love the idea of this app, and as a butch, GNC woman finding clothes that fit can be very challenging. The thought of having a platform where I could maybe get ideas an give suggestions to others like me was exciting, since all of the other fashion-disrupting services (Stitchfix, for example) are for… well, not people like me. Unfortunately, Mys Tyler was a letdown. The image I saw in the ad isn’t actually a part of the app, it doesn’t exist. I thought I’d keep going anyway, but then you have to put in your sizes in women’s clothing only - I don’t know my dress size! I haven’t worn a real bra in 8 years, no idea! I do, however, know my size in suits and slacks. I think this is probably a really great app for some women, but not women like me. Which is ok - but, FYI Mys Tyler developers - there’s definitely a market for a social network app like yours for gender non-conforming or gender creative folks! ALL of us have taken YEARS trying to figure out what works on our bodies, and where to buy it. Communication crowdsourcing would be a huge help. Just a thought.

This app is very fun in a sense that you get to match with people who are of similar shape/size and you get to see how different clothing items are styled on them. I think it’s really helpful in that sense especially before you purchase something that is meant for, let’s say, someone taller if you are petite. I do wish there was more ways to interact with your followers or other contributors besides just following them - the app seems very “quiet” in a sense. There’s not a lot of interaction between the contributors and the followers and it would be great if there was something to allow the followers to closely connect with the contributors especially if they had specific questions about certain pieces. Also, being a contributor, I find it difficult only being able to link 5 clothing items - some people prefer alternative options or similar options that are cheaper and it would be nice to offer those too! Overall good app, but just wish there was more chances to connect with fellow contributors & followers.

I’ve been a Pinterest and Instagram junkie for years. And while there’s a lot of great inspiration on there, one of the things I’ve learned recently in my never ending struggle to outfit my plus size body, is it’s not just the size of your body but also the height, your bone structure, and ax the way flesh lays on you. Imagine my utter delight to find that I could be matched to other fashionistas based on height, based on dress size, based on cup size, find people with nearly identical builds to myself, and then as I fall in love with outfits there’s links to where I can find the garments? Are you kidding me!?!? It’s perfect. And they keep making improvements all the time.

As a plus sized woman, sometimes you can get down on your body. You think clothes don’t look good on you, and that nobody makes them to fit your type and style. Mys Tyler has been amazing in changing that mindset. I look forward to the weekly themes, put together outfits and pieces I may not have worn in a long time, and play dress up again! I love the community of women this is building. I love having people that will love my new outfit to share and finding new ones from others. This has been a game changer for my self-esteem.

I have been a part of Mys Tyler since the beginning of the year, and I am so wowed by this startup platform. As a consumer, I love being able to fill my feed with other people (similar and different from my body type) and see what the latest fashions are. As a contributor, I love bringing my own personal flare and sharing it with others - I’ve already reached 1000 followers! Everyone I have come across in the community has been so lovely and supportive. Definitely recommend this forward-thinking platform.
