Ratings and Reviews
Excellent service. However…
No complaint about the healthcare service itself, which is wonderful - attentive, caring, thorough, and authoritative.. The institutional system, however, could be improved, in at least two specific respects:
1. Accessing Medical Records is much more complicated than it should be and needs software updating. I was warned by a nurse about this, but spent over an hour anyway, hoping to find a needed document, which I never did.
2. The Sleep Disorders Center needs to follow up with the patient with some interpretation of their test results, no matter who orders the testing. They did the test and they are the experts. I’m thinking that both the Center and our primary physician thought that the other would do this. We heard nothing from either of them about these results, and were not competent to interpret them ourselves.

Very Helpful in Many Ways
I resisted downloading and the My U of M Health portal for a long time, but I have found it to be very useful once I finally made the effort to start using it. I used to have to call or visit every different clinic that saw me to get test or lab results, but this service makes it easy to access that information all in one place. It seems all of my doctors and clinicians use this portal religiously, so it’s never a question that when I use it to communicate with them, I’ll have a reply in short order. The U of M health system is a massive (sometimes unwieldy) beast, and this portal makes it easy to navigate access to providers, information as to locations, test results, information, etc. I still prefer to call my clinic for prescriptions and appointments, but I HAVE found this portal to be a font of vital information, especially as far as test results, clinical visit summaries, and future scheduling is concerned. If you receive care from the U of M behemoth, I HIGHLY recommend that you sign up for the portal.

I absolutely love University of Michigan’s Patient portal App.
I am able to see my upcoming appointments, lab results, review my last appointment’s Summary to remind myself of what the doctor said. But best of all for me, is that I can reach out to my provider and their staff if I have a question or information for them.
Of course there are so many features, like requesting an appointment, virtual appointments, appointment reminders, reviewing my medications, a library in order to look up information about a procedure or disease, ability to contact pharmacy with any questions.
I just feel through this app I am more of an informed partner with my health care team.
If you have healthcare through the University of Michigan Hospital and their clinics, I think you will find that this free app is a game changer.
