Introducing: myVolta Cloud
Monitor Your Volta System Virtually Anywhere!
The latest myVolta app update allows users to connect to myVolta Cloud, equipping them with:
• The ability to monitor your system from virtually anywhere
• Notifications for any alerts, status changes or low battery levels
• Peace of mind knowing everything is safe and working while you’re away from the vehicle
Using myVolta Cloud requires two internet-connected devices, one of which must remain connected with Bluetooth to the Volta module.
How myVolta Cloud Works
1. Two devices must have the myVolta app downloaded, be signed into the same Volta account and have consistent internet access through data, campground WIFI, an in-van router, etc.
2. The device synced with the Volta module resides in the vehicle, within Bluetooth range of the module.
3. The synced device will send system information to the myVolta Cloud, allowing the second, unconnected device to access system data anywhere it can connect to the internet.
What’s New
Version 2.0.3
Better app performance when connected for long periods of time.
Ratings and Reviews
It would be nice if.. .
The app doesn’t indicate the SOC dial color. Adding that feature would be a nice improvement to the app for those of us using Volta systems in the extreme temps of winter in North and summer in South.
It would also be nice to have definitive information on on the color scheme (red and green) of the current wattage.
Not a bad app, opportunities for refinement and improvement.
Cloud service is a good idea, poor execution
Love the cloud service feature so I can monitor power levels when we’re away from our rig (this is how it should work in theory).
We leave an iPad plugged in with the app running and connected to Volta via Bluetooth. Cloud service recognizes the device for a few minutes. One the iPad, screen goes to “sleep”, causing Volta to no longer monitor via cloud. My suspicion is that this app is not running in the background as it should. Have checked the settings on iPad to make sure “allow background apps” is allowed. I see a recent developer response says it is fixed in 2.0.1, but unfortunately, it doesn’t appear to be the case. Would love a reliable way to monitor our power levels when away from our rig.
Works well so far
Has been doing everything it’s designed to do so far, but really would appreciate the alert feature when it’s running low. I’m a little surprised the Volta system itself doesn’t have some kind of audible alert capability before it cuts off.
