The NAGDU Guide & Service Animal Information & Advocacy app provides general information about the state and federal laws from the United States, as well as the laws from Canada, that protect the civil rights of disabled individuals who use service dogs. The app contains excerpts from the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), each of the state statutes, and the various laws from Canada that protect the rights of those who use service dogs, as well as general guidance concerning access to specific types of establishments, such as hotels, restaurants, health care facilities and more. In addition, this app provides the ability to directly connect with a live advocate who has been specially trained to help you resolve access issues as they occur.
We intend to continue to update this app with improvements and new features, so if you don't see something you'd like, please let us know.
This app is provided as a public service of the National Association of Guide dog users (NAGDU), a strong & proud division of the National Federation of the Blind (NFB).
Added sections on ride sharing services, British Columbia laws, and updated the About the NFB section.

Makes me feel more safe
Got this app to help me when I am denied access and such to share the laws and boy am I happy!! Super great and no need to pass out cards in awkward situations (cards are still helpful though!) thank you!
Thank you!!! This will make it quicker to bring up the laws to someone when I have a access issue!
Essential for guide dog users
A great app to have available when denials sneak up on you. The ability to reference state laws is incredibly important.
