Description

Learn Salah/Namaz from scratch, memorize surahs of the Quran, learn Dua, and check prayer times. Suitable for beginners.

What is Namaz?
Namaz is the daily muslim prayer, also known as Salat or Salah. It is one of the five pillars of Islam and the best way of worshipping Allah the Almighty.

Description:
This app is an audio player for you to listen to the correct pronunciation of the prayers in Arabic. It will help you to learn the dua-invocations and parts of the Quran that are read inside the prayer. You will also have the texts in English transliteration and some illustrations to help you navigate through the process. All content is in accordance with the rules of the Hanafi school of law.

Important to understand, that this is a companion app, and it is not sufficient to fully learn the prayer on its own. We also strongly recommend that you learn to read Arabic, as English letters and phonemes are not sufficient to convey all sounds found in Arabic. Learning to read Arabic will allow you to perform your prayers in the best way and will give you access to the Holy Quran. The easiest and most effective way to learn both prayer and reading Arabic is to find a good teacher.

Brings me to tears…

Being a new Muslim can be overwhelming but this app has made praying so easy on every level, from correct body positioning to what each verse means in English, to how to say each word in Arabic. The best part for me is being able to slow the prayer down to learn each Arabic syllable and word correctly and to speed it up so I can also hear the normal rate of speed. Without your app, I don’t think I wouldve ever stood a chance at learning Arabic because learning a different language is something I’ve failed at many times. And without this app, I feel I would’ve remained a bit frustrated w prayers, for a long time. Because of your app, I look forward to and crave praying. Being that it is free, is especially helpful as I am not able to work right now. I’m so grateful for your app that it brings me to tears. Thank you thank, thank you. 🙏🥰

Alhumdulilah This App Helped Me With Salah

As a revert Muslim, it can be very lonely and very hard to learn how to pray. Many times online I find communities can become toxic. This app gives you the opportunity to be alone, no judgement from others, and take your time learning to pray.
It demonstrates proper positions, recites the prayers in Arabic, provides phonetic translation into the English alphabet, and provides an English translation under each sentence as well. It does more as well, but these things are what I have mainly used it for.
Alhumdulilah this helped me begin to memorize the prayers and took me from praying maybe once a day to completing all 5 prayers.
And it is free Alhumdulilah.
Thank you to the creators of this app. May Allah reward you for your good deeds.

Fantastic App……But

My Arabic dialect is poor, so I have had years of difficulty with reciting the prayers on my own as I’ve struggled to remember the Tashahhud word for word. This app has helped as I play it along as I pray. Thank you because I really need this.

However after reciting the Sura Al-Fatiha there’s another voice that pops out saying “Ameen”. It just sounds strange and doesn’t fit well with the Imam that’s reciting the prayers. My suggestion is to change that one piece and perhaps allow more customization of the app to hear different Imams and allowance of a few other Suras without paying towards a subscription.
