“Nancy Drew: Ghost of Thornton Hall continues to provide some of the best storytelling around, and the game's ample dialog means even the most diehard player will take a few hours to unravel all of its secrets.” - Gamezebo
"This is by far the most scariest game of all in the entire series of Nancy Drew games. Tread carefully when you play the Ghost of Thornton Hall, or you will get scared out of your wits when you meet some rather spooky apparitions. To make it even more exciting, we hope you won’t mind tramping through a melancholic cemetery in the middle of the night, investigating a sombre and decrepit crypt, and plumbing the depths of claustrophobic tunnels." - GamesWarp
"I have greatly enjoyed playing Nancy Drew: Ghost of Thornton Hall. I highly recommend it to all fans of the series and gamers who enjoy first-person adventures. The story, characters, setting, and puzzles are more than enough to satiate any adventurer and inspired sleuth, young or old." - Adventure Classic Gaming

Great and Convenient for Hard Core ND fans
I have been a long time Nancy Drew gamer. My first game was Secret of Shadow Ranch. Many years later and I own all 32 PC games and still play them over and over again. Every time I play them I get fully immersed in the world of Nancy Drew, even if I know the culprit and the answers to the puzzles, or the cheats to get around them ;). I can definitely say these games turned me into a more critical thinker and a video game lover.
This app, while slightly buggy at times, is still the game we all know and love. I love that it has the phone charm feature (which isn’t in the base game) and tweaked graphics. This makes me feel like I’m playing a different game even though the story, puzzles, and dialogue are the exact same. Some of the glitches are definitely distracting at times and the sparkles on “interesting” objects get annoying quick, which is why I can only give 4 stars. If there was an option to remove that feature in the settings, that would be great.
I am counting down the days until “Spring 2019” so Her Interactive can get out of the years-long Midnight in Salem rut. Mostly so I can finally have a new Nancy Drew game in my hands after years of waiting, but also so the company can go back to developing more things like this. I hope that the programming (and personnel) changes keep the Nancy Drew series strong so more apps of past and future games can come to iOS. Even if it takes another three years, I’ll be waiting!
Great game before it stop working
I love Nancy Drew games, so when I found out that there was a game for the iPad, I was excited. It was a great game and it was fun to play, but now I cannot play it. Every time I try to talk to someone, it just fast forwards through the script. The voices of the characters are also missing. I also noticed that the latest version is 1.7 but the version installed on my iPad is 1.6. I tried to uninstall and reinstall it but it didn't work. I would like to update the game but there is not an update option for it.
*Edit* I was able to get the app to update so the conversations are not super fast anymore. The voices still seem to be missing, as well as background noises.
Why? Because when I look into the hallway the first time I see Charlotte in a red dress. Second time she is wearing a tan dress inside the locked room singing creepily. There are also moving statues in the graveyard. The puzzles are hard too. I typed the password for the phone and went to video messages and that was pretty creepy too📲😱😰. I made it back to Harper the second time but when I came out there was something like a slug crawling to me but the first time everybody’s gone. Just why are there black frames over each moving object? Charlottes bedroom is impossible to get in because I found the 🔑 to it and fell out! Im 9 and I expect better.
