Description
Navajo Keyboard makes it convenient for users to type in Navajo and removes many of the frustrations that users have with typing Navajo using the default iPhone keyboard. For starters, this app places an extra row of keys on its keyboard, allowing you access to specific Navajo characters without depressing the letter. A slide bar is included that you can turn on and off to transition between your Navajo keyboard and the default iPhone keyboard.
The performance of this app is fantastic and even supports sharing what you have written through social media apps such as Facebook, Twitter, Messages, plus Email. Overall, Navajo Keyboard is essential to all Navajo Language Enthusiasts because of its speed, usability, and plain usefulness. We would like to thank Florian Tom Johnson, an avid user of the Navajo language who helped create the layout of the keyboard.

Glitchy
I use this with Duolingo. I love the layout of the keyboard, because it’s easy to use. But it is super glitchy. It will often refuse to type the letter “y”, and then it won’t pull up at all. Then it will pull up when I’m using another unrelated app (like the App Store), all sweet and cute, like it didn’t just cause me to tear my hair out twenty seconds ago. Please fix the glitch!
I use with Duolingo
Before finding this keyboard it was very time-consuming trying to use a regular iPhone keyboard. I was always making mistakes. When you type a letter there appears to be a slight lag before the key works. Otherwise it’s good. This is pretty much the only working Navajo keyboard out there for iPhone. I like that it is still being updated by developers. I stay away from apps that haven’t been updated for some time.
Latest release is great
Been using this keyword for months now and had figured ways around the little issues that popped up... but opened it up today to a very nice update. Already seems more stable and the interface updates are much appreciated. Thank you for updating.
