NBack game is an implementation of an N-back task where the player needs to match sound and selected position N times ago. It has been proved many times in many types of research that regular playing this type of games help to improve short and long term memory. The game offers 25 rounds with different level of difficulty, you need to decide if the sound or/and position were the same N rounds ago, at the end of the game you will see a summary board with your results. When you complete a level successfully you unlock the next level. If you do not how to play you will find a tutorial explaining how to play with examples.

After two craniotomies and radiation to treat brain tumors, I noted a dip in cognitive functioning. My neuro-oncologist shared the research that proves this game is effective at improving brain function. There are several of these games in the App Store, but this is the best in my opinion, not least because it has no ads nor in-app purchases. The purpose of the game dictates that there be no such distractions. I initially downloaded the game for my iPad, but it works just as well on my iPhone. Highly recommended, and I’l be telling family, friends and colleagues about this game.

App works well and has soothing music on menu screens. Only feature I would request is to highlight the sound or position buttons in red if a queue is missed.
