The NBCOT Navigator® is an award-winning competency assessment platform for current OTR® and COTA® certificants to develop their occupational therapy knowledge and skills, stay current in their practice, and earn competency assessment units (CAUs) toward renewal and state licensure requirements.

Now you can access Navigator anytime and anywhere. Our app allows you to check out tools to play offline without internet access. When you connect to Wi-Fi again, check in the tools and your results will be uploaded and synced with your account.

The Navigator provides over 100 tools across 15 practice areas, and current certificants can earn up to 14 units toward renewal.

Try a case simulation to interact with clients and determine best-practice strategies. Test your knowledge of contemporary OT practice with the mini practice quizzes or the OT Knowledge Library. Select the optimal orthosis and make best-practice fabrication decisions with the Orthotic Builder. Use the PICO method and evidence-based research to assess a client population. Select and administer the most appropriate PAM with our physical agent modalities tool. Play the Management Challenge to assess your skills in managing daily operations of an outpatient rehab facility.

Hear what some of our certificants have to say about the Navigator.

“I love the Navigator! As a supervisor, I am always telling my team that this is a benefit they should use.” Rachel, OTR

“Excellent and fun way to obtain credits! I am very happy all the states I am licensed in accept the Navigator for licensure requirements. It makes working as a traveling COTA that much easier.” Jaimie, COTA

See for yourself why our award-winning tool platform is a must-have for all certified OTRs and COTAs.

Difficult to log in; accidentally successful

The app shows an error message after the username is entered. Somehow I was able to access my password through the keychain and then by accidentally double-tapping the password box, it logged me in. Shouldn’t be that difficult, though. Please look into it. Thanks!
