NEKOPARA - Catboys Paradise 4+

It definitely surprised me on how short each route was, I finished the entire game in less than a day. It was also shocking on how you don’t really have choices to choose for a route, but that’s part of its uniqueness! Even though it was short, it was quite cute! Some of the characters seemed somewhat stereotypical in a way but definitely shifted their stereotypes in different ways too. This game is a type of game that should be played for someone who has some short freetime to sit down and play something this enjoyable. This game is not a type to be used for such a short while, such as a month or more if you want to go through a long story and routes. This game made me smile and I felt a connection in such little game time. I do recommend this game if you just feel bored and maybe have a couple minutes or so to spare!

There are no options for dialogue in this game. The only choice you get is to choice the route you want to go on. But I wouldn’t call this a game it’s more of a story tbh. I played a lot of otome games in my lifetime but this isn’t it in my opinion. If you want a story this is for you, if you want a game, this isn’t it. Story line very cliché but cute I give an 5/10, the artwork is good, liked the voice acting through the entirety of it. Doesn’t have no definite ending at all it just ends right in the middle of the story. We hardly get to know them at all. They give a tiny description in the beginning and that’s kinda it. There’s hardly and character development cause of how short it is. There isn’t really anything going on in this app. I was expecting more of a game (storyline, getting to know the characters, character development, choices, an actual ending, etc.) Like there isn’t barely any element of a otome game in this app. It’s not even a game at all. I’m extremely disappointed in this app. I played 2/4 routes then got bored and couldn’t finish the rest of the routes cause of how boring this is. I literally sat there on auto and just kept tapping the screen so it wouldn’t fall asleep. Literally I sat there and did nothing. This isn’t a game. The only reason this has 2 stars is because of the voice acting throughout the game. I honestly don’t know how this app has a 4.7 star rating.

Was pretty excited to start this game because... Catboys.. and the art is very nice, the voice acting is amazing and it’s super cute. However i’m a guy, and having to read “girl/mistress/she/her” over and over again is frustrating. But I do understand it is an otome game, and it’s catered towards women. I think you should be able to pick your gender from the start, then the lines and art should reflect which gender you get to choose. But this game is really cute and well made!! I was also expecting more options to be able to choose how you want to reply to their questions instead of you just having one set personality. This is what is making the game a bit lifeless. The player should be able to project themselves onto the MC but it just feels like i’m playing as someone else when the whole point is for it to be you as the main character. So as improvements i’d really like to see: 1) choosing your gender at the beginning so they refer to you as that and then 2) adding choices to what to say or do to them (example: i could refuse to pat their head or i could choose to pat it, these would either give me affection points or dislike points)thank you to the artists and seiyuus for the great content!
