Description

Good health starts with correct posture.

Nekoze uses a camera to check your posture and tells you when you are hunched over.

Requires macOS Monterey or later and a hunchbacked human.

Note:
Nekoze uses facial recognition to detect hunched posture.
If it does not work well, try adjusting the lighting in the room or changing the location of the camera.

drains batteries

not super accurate, and you start ignoring the cat after a while. The concept is super cute though!!!

just didn’t work

I use a laptop plugged into a second monitor, with the second monitor being primary. The external monitor also has a webcam which I use without issue for all other apps, but Nekoze didn’t recognize it. It would only use the webcam on my small laptop, which is positioned lower and off to the side. Kitty alert was literally constantly on, even RIGHT after I hit the start button and literally had not moved yet. I tried it again while fully facing my laptop, and it worked well. But that’s not the way I sit while I’m working. So this doesn’t do it for me. If it had an option to choose another camera, I would give it another try.

Good idea - awful implementation

I like this idea as, like many of us, I’m very inclined to slump at my Mac. But my efforts with Nekoze have been really irritating. Practically no user help on how to set it up or fine-tune it. Facetiime camera on my relatively recent iMac can’t easily identify me in good light. Glasses seem to be a problem. And, even when identified, I am subjected to constant meow’s, which don’t seem particularly related to my posture. I know I can turn the sound off, but I still get the multiple versions of the cat image popping up without any explanation on what, if anything, they mean. Feels like an alpha.
