Doesn’t have menu options in document view
If you want to view a document, it does not work!
I read reviews from a year ago until now and see other people have been stating the same issue with viewing documents. When you open a document there are no options. None. Period. You have to force close the app. There is no ability to exit out of it. You have to double click your home button and force close the app. Then, go back to the app and login all over again if you needed to do something else. Other reviewers make comments that reviewers like me must be doing something wrong, that there is a menu or buttons at the bottom of the document; there is nothing. It looks like a pdf is open. Says page 1, page 2, and shows my signal strength time and battery at the top. Nothing at the bottom.
I’m wondering if the app and Apple iPhone 7’s automatic touch 3D feature are incompatible? I have an iPhone 7 Plus and up to date iOS.
(It also doesn’t allow you to zoom in using two fingers or the press and hold option. So when you do open a document it is tiny and now you are stuck.)
It is much easier to view their mobile site on safari or go to a computer when checking your inbox and to look at any documents or statements.
Buggy little thing
I keep seeing people say the view document navigation works on their phone so it must be individual issues, but I've updated, uninstalled and reinstalled, I'm on the latest iOS, and there are still no navigation buttons when viewing statements. I actually came to the app store to click App Support, but shockingly, that doesn't work either. Takes me to a broken link on the website. I actually chose Nelnet to consolidate my loans with, and I find myself constantly disappointed. The app "mostly" works, and auto payments show up as late payments until they're done processing. What a dumb system.
Does exactly what I want it to do!
I was a little apprehensive about downloading this app after reading so many negative reviews. I decided to try it out for myself anyway. This app does exactly what I want it to do, make it easy for me to set up payments, make payments and manage my account from my phone. Also, if you have someone else (parent or relative) paying on your account they can set up their own log in and make payment on your account without seeing all of your info. Lastly, If I have a question about something I can just use the help scroll down to contact a rep and ask my question. The reps are very quick with responding and I have never experienced long wait times on the phone either. With that said, if you want quick and easy access to make payments and manage your account the Nelnet app is perfect for you. If you want more than that, the Nelnet app is probably not for you.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
