Setup in one window Three windows became one flow of eight steps, and the graphic leads. Before, setup took the start window's space and still counted it as seen. 2.3.2 QUIET MODE A third state between watching and blocking. New connections keep running while you work; NetMute collects them. Later you walk the backlog in one pass and decide — instead of being interrupted at the worst moment. The menu bar shows when Quiet Mode is on. RULES THAT PROVE THEMSELVES Every rule now carries a number: how often it actually caught something. Rule hygiene finds the dead ones — the app is gone, a broader rule already covers it, or it never fired once. NetMute suggests, you decide. APPS YOU REMOVED Every six hours NetMute checks which apps are gone and marks their rules. It counts only apps it saw itself — "not found right now" is not the same as uninstalled. App blocks get the same 14-day grace period domain rules already had. FIXED • Large reports were computed on the main thread and could stall the window. 2.3.1 BANKING AND BOOKING SITES WORK AGAIN Some trackers also carry a site's login, its payment or its confirmation link: fraud detection, consent banners, tag managers, form services. Blocked, the page stopped with no error — banks, insurers and hotels most of all. Those services now sit in six groups that are allowed through by default. Tracker Shield blocks advertising, analytics and fingerprinting exactly as before. Each group can be switched on separately, and what it can cost you is stated next to it. ADD YOUR OWN EXCEPTIONS The list of allowed trackers has an input field. Until now the only way in was the diagnosis card, which meant waiting until something broke. FIXED • "Page not loading?" reported "blocked" for domains that were already allowed.
