Description

Wi-Fi network strength surveying solution for any inside and outside area.

Having slower file downloads on some particular places indoors? Internet speed does not reach the levels of what your Internet Service Provider gives? Some video streaming services hang when switched to a higher resolution? Or your online applications are in a “loading” state for too long? Or maybe you are an engineer trying to see how wireless network signal travels from specific access points?

And you’ve got a scheme of the floor plan or can draw one, right?

That’s where Network Lantern comes in. With such a lightweight solution you can measure wireless network (Wi-Fi) strength distribution indoors and outdoors within minutes.

A typical network surveying tool generates heat map by collecting signal level either from very expensive handheld device or from a 3rd party Wi-Fi adapter antenna. With Network Lantern, you only need a Mac computer. That’s it.

With Network Lantern and its helper (available on Mac separately) you get:

••• Live data:
- Current network strength.
- Signal level and noise charts.
- Wi-Fi strength data from all surrounding networks.
- Hidden networks search.

••• Visualizations:
- Network Lantern shows a heat map of all surrounding networks.
- Wireless network surveying results sharing in PDF format (available for plans imported via gallery).

••• Personalized:
- Draw your own scheme of floor plan.
- Import an image of a scheme of floor plan from the gallery.
- Imported image correction for more accurate measurements.
- Measurements in yards or meters.

••• Ease of use:
- No expensive 3rd party handheld devices or antennas.
- Visual step-by-step guidelines.
- A minimalistic interface provides you with the best experience while using Network Lantern.

Note: Network Lantern application requires a Mac with Network Lantern Helper downloaded that serves as a measurement solution. Available on: https://liudasbar.dev/network-lantern-helper-download/
