Neuecast: Podcast App 4+

This is a very clean, elegant podcast app. The search is simple, the channel organization is tidy. It doesn’t have the episode/channel detail you’d find on Apple Podcasts (for instance, you won’t find a link to The Telegraph’s other podcasts in the episode details of Ukraine: The Latest) but the spare utility of the app makes up for the lack of detail. I'd like to be able to see the mini player while navigating my other podcasts, but it's only a downward swipe away so it's a trivial issue. There's a premium version for $10/ year but it's not clear what exactly that gets you. I'll use it exclusively for a week and if it works out as well as I'm anticipating, I've got a new podcast player.

Great, minimalistic app that does the basics very well. I love supporting indie devs and the premium price is very reasonable which I deeply appreciate. This app still needs features that all the heavy-hitters have before it can be very competitive like podcast imports, syncing between phone & Mac, etc. In terms of UI, I love its simplicity! I would appreciate if I can swipe anywhere on the screen to change views instead of only being able to use the bottom toolbar space. Lastly, having more options for playback speeds would be a nice-to-have. I think it’s a great start and has a lot of potential!

Beautifully designed podcast app, sleek UI and very user friendly. For both MacOS and iOS, however haven’t figured out a way to sync between the two as I use both to listen to podcasts, so that would be a nice added feature. Also, would love for this to get into the Tesla app lineup. Overall, highly recommend if you like keeping your music, audiobooks and podcasts separate and want a well polished and aesthetic app to enjoy podcasts.
