NexiGo Webcam Settings 4+

If you never unplug the camera it will work. The issue is when you remove the camera from the Mac and then plug it back in, you have to go to the app if it works to re connect the camera. It does not remember the camera.
When trying to connect the camera, you have to open the Mexico app, and it freaking freezes and locks up 9/10 times.

I have found that if you do plug it in, open the app and don’t touch it for like 2min it will work. I’d like to that that with today’s tech I would not have to do that all.

When I was using on my PC it worked flawlessly, but now on the Mac, it has mad issues.

Probably going to have to look for a new camera.
(Camera is Nexigo N60) if that has anything to do with anything.

I downloaded this app because my Nexigo webcam on macOS was showing my face massively overlit on work calls. Forehead and nose was fully white. First thing I found was that the app appears not to do anything, but that’s because by default the “camera” it selects is the “audio” portion of the webcam. Picking the “other” Nexigo entry in the list enabled all the video settings. Turning down “Brightness” in this app is like a global add/subtract; not useful. Eventually I found that I had to use the “Backlight” setting to reduce the exposure, and then crank up the Gramma and Brightness values to not look like I’m in a cave. So: free and effective, but controls are very “raw” representations of the math, instead of focused on what you might actually be trying to accomplish.

The Nexigo N680 camera has fixed a long standing problem I had with my previous camera maintaining a proper white balance, giving me a bright reddish hue. You shouldn't need to use this app, EVER, if you just want good color and crisp images.

But, if you are having adjustment issues or want to reduce the resolution, this app works great -- at least on my Macbook Pro. There is not much to add to the description. Nothing fancy, but lots of controls to play with.
