Not Sure Yet But This may Be Brilliant
I've worked with a lot of financial software, and just when I think I've found the perfect app, I find a major flaw, or it gets too cumbersome, or it's too simple, or it crashes, or something. On a whim I downloaded this app, when they announced automatic sync via icloud. The app is stupid simple. It records expenditures, period, although it organizes them in a pretty useful way. But my immediate reaction was that I couldn't make a budget or even deposit money, and it wouldn't work. Then I thought, maybe this is really all I need. I know what my income is. If I input my recurring bills at the first of the month, and all other spending as it occurs, regardless of what account I pay them from, I will know instantly if I'm on track overall. I don't need a budget and lots of custom categories, and so forth. I can track my net worth somewhere else. So this may be genius...
Good Expense Management App, But Needs Some TLC
I really like this app. It's simple, functional and gorgeous. But to get straight down to the point... I'm a little more than confused by how things work.
Adding expenses is easy. There are symbolic icons representing many different categories. Past that point though, I stumped. Maybe it's just me, but it seems a little more complicated than it should be. Just... Everything about it confuses me. Of course, this review reflects my initial experience. I'm sure a little more practice will make things easier.
Deleting things, I found, was a hassle though. Took me several tries to delete items in the years screen. That part needs some tweaking.
Overall, I like this app. I hope it is faithfully maintained and updated by the author.
