Fix the junk ,

Just Plain Horrible

After you “fixed” what wasn’t broken, you came out with this app. This is just plain horrible, I have purchased the digital copy of a rule book for 2024 and it doesn’t show up. I tried getting ahold of customer service but I keep getting passed off to someone else who won’t give me a straight answer. Luckily this year was a rule book year so my state association sent out hard copies, the only problem with them is the are inconvenient to carry along. Giving you one star is too much, you NFHS need to do better for your officials.

Revised

I initially gave this app a one star review and said some nasty things about it. All I wanted was access to the 2025 NFHS softball rulebook. I stumbled across a video and discovered that I needed to actually purchase a rule book/subscription from the AllAccess website first. The process certainly wasn’t easy to even do that, but now that I have, I can access my rulebook from within the app and I couldn’t be happier. I’ve revised my rating to 3 stars because I haven’t actually gone through the rulebook yet. I will update my rating and review accordingly. The process to get access to what I wanted was terrible, but the app may be pretty good after all!

Government quality

This app is a good case study of the virtues of capitalism. Companies that put out apps with lots of problems tend to go out of business, so there is a lot of incentive to build great apps. The NFHS doesn't have that, so we get an inferior product.

The app supposedly supports offline mode, but since it keeps losing your sign-in credentials, you need a connection anyway, and it's a hassle. I don't have to keep signing into Facebook. This app should be similiar.

Tne app crashes regularly when run on a Mac. The usability is lackluster. There's no support for dark mode. An eBook would fix all these problems. Forcing officials to use an app is a poor design choice.

No keyboard support. This doesn't just apply to iPads. Reading on a Mac running the app is a terrible experience. You have to click and drag to turn a page.
