An idea with potential, but still not useful in practice

You have to be within 1km of a gym to light a flare, and flares only last 15 minutes. These limitations mean the app might help you assemble a raid party if you’re in a densely populated area. But otherwise it’s probably useless - the flare doesn’t stay active long enough to attract a lot of players, or you have to make 2+ trips to the gym - first to light the flare and then you have to come back later for the actual raid. Giving it a second star in the hope that Niantic will open things up a bit as time goes on.

Finally! A long-awaited feature!

Wow! Finally, an actual Pokémon go map! Since I got the game, I’ve been having too look up maps online to see my nearby pokestops and gyms, but those apps and sites usually use hacking and/or fake news. I first saw campfire on my Pokémon go screen, and knew immediately what it was! I downloaded the app a bit later, and give it an 8/10! A few suggestions though, specifically for Pokémon go: can you add regular pokestops to the map? I think it would really increase the versatility and usefulness of the app, and also help players plan routes more easily! Also, while the raid finder is cool, can you add a marker to show how many players are battling in it, and also how much time is left? And finally, which of the three teams(Mystic, Valor, or Instinct) the gym is controlled by, or if it’s blank? Thanks! -Carteboy

No support, still not released to pogo players

It’s been like a quarter of a year since they announced this “feature” app that is supposed to make playing pogo locally and making friends easier. Honestly that should’ve been some thing that was a part of the app to begin with. Not really sure how it’s gotten this far without a partner app except for the fact that people have just been using Discord to make up for Niantics shortcomings however it is now a quarter of a year later and you still can’t just join this app if you want to as it’s still in “beta testing“ honestly I don’t know why I expected anything more since everything with Niantic seems to be a major dumpster fire. Just disappointing that they can’t even add basic features for, their players, even when they make a ton of money off of their games sad
