Night Shapes is an ambient music generator. It uses geometric rules to generate novel harmonic pathways that can help with relaxation, sleep, and attention. Headphones are highly recommended to enjoy the full harmonic spectrum.

* Swipe through an unending list of titles
* Songs play forever without repeating
* Watch a geometric visualization of the harmonies
* Enable low-power mode to disable visuals and maximize battery life
* Audio plays while device is locked for a better sleep experience

Incredible concept!

I like how this app only uses a tiny amount of storage space but it automatically generates limitless melodies of music! The music created from it is mostly minimal ambient kind of music which is good for sleep or deep focus. There's also an auto generated visualization that goes with the music. I really love this app but I wish there was more options for different sounds and instruments instead of just one!

Download this app!!

Just downloaded and I am very satisfied with the outcome. Fell asleep in minutes when it typically takes me hours. This app is very useful for mediation sleep and relaxation. Very calming throughout the body. Definitely recommend trying it out to lower stress and insomnia :-)

Interesting app

This app generates ambient electronic drones. Each time it's a slightly different combination of tones, high or low tones shifting in emphasis. As a reference it's sometimes reminiscent of Eno's electronic instrumental music. Great for headphones to block out external noises. My only complaint is occasionally the sounds will include loud staticky popping or glitch type noises that can be jarring or irritating. But that's a rare event and overall I like this app.

Developer Response ,

Hi Harrison, thanks for bringing this up and very sorry about the popping sound as I want this app to be relaxing. I believe I know what you're referring to and will work to smooth that out the next chance I get to update the app. It was an issue with the sound engine that was very hard to pin down. If you'd like to discuss further you can find a contact email at the bottom of this page: Thanks!
