Nintendo Switch Online Voice Chat App
I’ve, been using this app since the Online came out. Overall I have to say it’s not as bad as most people make it seem to be, I can understand people wanting to do voice chat through the console itself which is fair enough.
But I’m speaking on my own experience, and no one else’s. I already use Discord on my phone to voice chat, when I’m my PS4 and my Switch so this doesn’t really bother me to use. Also the sound quality and stability is very good I’ve never had the App Crash or lag the biggest amount of people I’ve had in one voice chat room is while I was play Mario Kart and we had 12 people in at once which was pretty hectic so luckily there’s an option to mute others.
The downfall to this app is the fact that not many games support the app, and the fact that this is how Nintendo wants us to communicate with others on the app which is fine I wish they would add a message system to.
Nintendo, You’re Not Seeing a Single Penny From Me. Not Anymore.
Everything about your new console’s online is just awful. Terrible. Horrible. Nothing compares. You know it’s bad online when your previous consoles (Including the 3DS) have a more stable connection away from the router. This service is just wrong in general. It’s a huge slap in the face when you have to *PAY* for online that we had for free for a long time. None of it is even good. The NES stuff is nothing special; I’d rather have Virtual Console back. The online in all the games I played so far is just terrible, with multiple delays in button inputs and startups. You don’t even have dedicated servers. What’s even the point? It’s completely broken. Like I said at the start, you’re not getting any more money from me. Not until the new Animal Crossing game comes out. You don’t deserve it after all that you’ve done to us. We dedicated fans did our best to support you, and in return, we get this? I am very ashamed of you. That’s very greedy coming from a family-friendly business. But that’s to be expected. Companies nowadays are now focused on the money more than the customers and their feedback. Typical greedy companies. Oh, and by the way, no, I’m not going to buy your horrendous online service again, after all of that nonsense. I could say that you can do better, but I can tell you’re not improving. You’ve always been the old man who is behind in the times, and you always will be.
More use for games it’s designed for
I really do like the spirit team creation features for ultimate and the recording side for splatoon but if this review get in the app developers hands I would recommend having more immersive features added for support for the games like guides or character stats or how in game tip are read through loading screen as well as update history so it’s one place they can quickly access instead of going to a website and waiting for people to sift through it and for spirit team building it would be helpful for it to display descriptions on what the effects do and if they stack or not and I would suggest that for any games that are supported by this app if DLC is made available details can be seen through the app as well as game purchase like how on the console you a wishlist or prepurchase option it’d be convenient if the eshop and its contents are visible through the app just like how Sony and Microsoft do with their apps in relation to their platforms you can buy the games and dlc using a mobile cellular device without being restricted of not have WiFi connections to make purchases for the console whether you have it in your hand or not
