New Features:
* Batch Auto Enhance - using the Batch menu on iOS and via the menus on Mac.
* Duplicate Mask and Duplicate + Invert Mask.
* New Auto Black in Levels and Curves with a setting to switch back to the old algorithm.
* Option to show photo counts for albums in the photo library - You can turn this on in Settings
* Add Sort options for the sidebar.

Usability:
* iOS: when brushing and zoomed in, you can now use the trackpad to pan around the image.
* Add Flag and Favorite commands to the Batch menu on iOS, and also to the contextual menu (iOS and Mac)
* Do not show a disclosure control for empty folders in file system and photo library
* Mac: Add more commands to the Image menu when in Edit
* Add Copy Edits, Copy Special, and some other commands to the contextual menu when in Edit
* Add Switch R/J to the contextual menu in Edit (and to the Image menu on Mac).
* Show status bar on iPhone in portrait screen orientation.

* macOS 15.2 broke tagging for files in iCloud Drive. I have implemented a workaround.
* Fix various bugs with sampling colors and hues when the image is cropped.
* Fix: when in zoom and the image is cropped, if you move the sliders, the image would sometimes become blurry.
* Major performance improvement when rating a lot of images in the file system.
* Turning off standard raw development now also turns off Apple lens correction
* Fix two crashes.
* Many bug fixes.

Excellent app, just what I need

I keep taking pictures for many years, not professionally, just to record things around. I used to relay on Aperture to manage my picture lib, but unfortunately it was discontinued and actually it lacks some key features like perspective correction, lens correction and aberration adjustments. This app Nitro fit every need I could ask for, and works fast. I like it the most that albums are shown in thumbnails instead of layers of folder icons like that in LR and C1 have which I never got used to, when it comes to displaying albums, app should show users thumbnails directly, instead of confusing people with folder icons and folder name texts, what was Adobe thinking! It even comes with LUT, very professional function, its filter system is just the one like aperture, and the developer responded to feature requests and bug reports very swiftly, this app is worth the money, so much, in beginners’ typical way of usage, a strong competitor to LR or capture one.

Extremely well written app by a caring developer

Absolutely fantastic app! I’m recently retired but spent decades as a software developer, then manager, then CTO and its rare that I get a new bit of software and find myself as impressed as I did when I discovered Nitro. Not just the features, but the care around seamless Apple Photos integration and the overall user experience. That this wasn't the result of a large team of coders is all that more impressive! Or maybe the reason its so great is that it *wasn't* a large team of coders :)

Nitro has become my primary tool for managing my Photos library and I look forward to watching this app evolve. The fact that I can hop between Apple Photos and Nitro with impunity and all of my rating and flagging maintained across all platforms is quite extraordinary. Kudos to Gentlemen Coders!

Also worth mentioning: I submitted a feature request and got an immediate and thoughtful response from the developer.

Brings the joy back to making photos

This is a gem of an app.

It's like haiku. Simple, yet full of riches and, immense power which wait to be discovered.

As someone who has used Aperture, Lightroom, and Capture One, this app spoke to me. It has everything I would want as an average person with a camera (and a phone!).

I miss Aperture in particular and in Nitro I have finally found an app which does not make me look back anymore.

It's a true Mac app. That means a lot to me. Lovely modern design and UI which just clicked for me.
 The cost (buy or subscribe) includes an upcoming iPad and iPhone version which is an amazing deal. Too good to be true.

I am subscribing as I want to support this app

Coming from the developer of RAW Power - an app I own and use - I know the developer is going to support Nitro in a similar, responsive way, while taking it to a totally new level.

Here's what I love about Nitro:

1. The best of both worlds: Photos on Mac, and Finder plus drives on my Mac. Nitro works effortlessly in both worlds.
2. Terrific RAW support.
3. Professional, modern editing controls.
4. Masks and brushes for those who want that.
5. Presets, LUTS, Film simulations, and so much more.
5. EXIF, image comparison, and other nerdy details.

Most of all it's great fun to use and brings the joy back into making and sharing photographs.  I recommend this without any reservations.
