New Features:
* Single File Editing - you can now edit individual files by dragging image files to the app icon, using Open With in the Finder, or using Open… in the app. Editing works the same as it does when working with Finder folders in Nitro (it saves to XMP files next to the original).
* Left-Side Editing Controls: You can now put the editing controls on the left side of the window. This is controlled in the app’s Settings interface
* If you zoom into a RAW image, and the app is only showing a JPEG preview, it will now decode the RAW.

Usability:
* Crop has many improvements, especially when cropping straightened images.
* Straighten now has a range of +/- 45 degrees. Added new crop aspect ratios and changed the hot keys for flip vertical and flip horizontal to Option-Shift-V and Option-Shift-H, respectively.
* If you have a scroll-wheel mouse, then in the filmstrip, scrolling will move left and right.
* Added a menu item (Mac and iPad) for Highlight Hot and Cold Pixels, with shortcut key (Cmd-Shift-Option-H).
* Added more items to the filmstrip’s contextual menu. These appear when you right click on an image that is NOT being currently edited.
* Space bar will now play and pause videos (the space bar works once the video is fully loaded, not immediately upon going to the video).

Miscellaneous:
* Support for Canon R1, Canon R5 Mark II, Nikon Z6 III, and Panasonic GH7
* When showing subfolder contents, make sure the folder contents appear in the same order as in the sidebar.
* The lens model and ISO are now written to exported files.
* The Quick Filter interface has more options and there is now a Clear Filter command there as well.
* Fix a bug with undo when creating a gradient and then moving it.
* Previously badges would be suppressed when the thumbnails were small. Now the app will try to show more badges.
* Improve decode of Olympus OM-1 Mark II.
* Fix bugs with undo and redo with Clone and Spot / Wire removal.
* Increase range of Tint slider to +/- 175.
* Tons of other fixes and improvements, including fixes for top crashes.

Excellent app, just what I need

I keep taking pictures for many years, not professionally, just to record things around. I used to relay on Aperture to manage my picture lib, but unfortunately it was discontinued and actually it lacks some key features like perspective correction, lens correction and aberration adjustments. This app Nitro fit every need I could ask for, and works fast. I like it the most that albums are shown in thumbnails instead of layers of folder icons like that in LR and C1 have which I never got used to, when it comes to displaying albums, app should show users thumbnails directly, instead of confusing people with folder icons and folder name texts, what was Adobe thinking! It even comes with LUT, very professional function, its filter system is just the one like aperture, and the developer responded to feature requests and bug reports very swiftly, this app is worth the money, so much, in beginners’ typical way of usage, a strong competitor to LR or capture one.

Brings the joy back to making photos

This is a gem of an app.

It's like haiku. Simple, yet full of riches and, immense power which wait to be discovered.

As someone who has used Aperture, Lightroom, and Capture One, this app spoke to me. It has everything I would want as an average person with a camera (and a phone!).

I miss Aperture in particular and in Nitro I have finally found an app which does not make me look back anymore.

It's a true Mac app. That means a lot to me. Lovely modern design and UI which just clicked for me.
 The cost (buy or subscribe) includes an upcoming iPad and iPhone version which is an amazing deal. Too good to be true.

I am subscribing as I want to support this app

Coming from the developer of RAW Power - an app I own and use - I know the developer is going to support Nitro in a similar, responsive way, while taking it to a totally new level.

Here's what I love about Nitro:

1. The best of both worlds: Photos on Mac, and Finder plus drives on my Mac. Nitro works effortlessly in both worlds.
2. Terrific RAW support.
3. Professional, modern editing controls.
4. Masks and brushes for those who want that.
5. Presets, LUTS, Film simulations, and so much more.
5. EXIF, image comparison, and other nerdy details.

Most of all it's great fun to use and brings the joy back into making and sharing photographs.  I recommend this without any reservations.

Very Capable New Image Editor

Nitro is a very capable new Image Editor from the developer of Raw Power (Nik Bhatt) and includes all the edit tools you need to transform raw (DNG, TIFF, HEIF, or JPEG) images. I have been a Raw Power user for years and Nik provides great support which is essential for these apps. Nitro can read and write images in the Apple Photo Library (which can be used as a DAM) and also works with images in the file system (which I prefer). A couple of highlights: Nitro has a very flexible image comparison option (2-16 images) which is very useful in culling images. And, Nitro provides access to the complete image EXIF data, essential for understanding camera processing (such as focus stacking) - a rare feature in image editors. Very competitive with the “big guys” and much less expensive.
