Best App for the Mixology Enthusiast

Hands down the best app for anybody interested in making cocktails. Love the ability to unlock recipes from books that I already own, the ability to add what items I have in stock and being able to add/scale my own recipes.

Great app

This is the best app I’ve found so far for tracking my bar and what drinks can be made.

Stuck at the beginning

Love how the first time you open the app gives you a list of ingredients you have on hand. Pretty standard for a cocktail app. But then to add the different kinds of liquor I can only scan my bottles. No way I’m emptying all my cabinets and doing that. And since that appears to be the only way to make this app work, I guess it’s not for me.

Hi Bnoof, thanks for trying our less than ideal onboarding and sorry for the confusion!

Even if we don't advertise it, there is another way to add your ingredients:
Use the search tab to find specific bottles/products and add it via the detail page (we should probably add a button or swipe gesture to make it possible right from the list...)

There are a few reasons why we want to get users to scan their bottles though.
a) It's very fast if the bottles are easily reachable (unfortunately not the case in your situation)
b) The process includes taking a picture of the bottle and assigning the barcode if we don't have that in our database yet (which will improve the app for everyone)

If you're ready to give it another try, also keep in mind that we have a chat in the app where you can quickly ask for support. I'm usually quick to respond if I don't sleep, but even in that case there's a lot of US users who are happy to help out.
