NomadHer is the application for female globetrotters encouraging safe solo travel.

74% of women dream of traveling alone and 90% of women say they were able to develop independence and confidence after traveling alone. Yet 80% of women are still hesitant to travel alone because of 'safety', 'cost' and 'loneliness'.

An app for women made by a woman
I think one the greatest features on the app is that you have to validate that you are indeed a woman. Having this feature adds a layer of security and peace of mind when you know this space is for women only. I recently went to Seoul for my first solo trip, my plans for the trip was very last minute so the girls were very helpful guiding me through all my questions and concerns. During the trip I had such a great time exploring on my own and having the privilege to meet other NomadHer girls while in Seoul, I had such a good time spending my evening with the girls, getting to know them, and developing a friendship with the girls. If you are a girl that has hesitation on solo travel or finding a community that will help you, this is your app!
A Flourishing Global Community of Women
If you like to travel and sometimes travel alone (as a woman), then you NEED to download this app. Even at its beginning, this app allows users to share short and long form travel stories with pictures and also allows users to ask simple questions and share advice. It's EMPOWERING to be able to open an app focused on sharing a love of a cultivating a global community. The Founder of this company and her team hosts events in Korean, English, and French and I think they hope to expand events to more languages. These events are virtual and offered to anyone around the world. Join the fun and see how you can be supported as a solo female traveler!

This app is what I was looking for! For those who are worried about their safety using other travel apps as solo female travelers, NomadHer offers a safe space for women. The NomadHer community is so welcoming and kind. Everyone strives to empower women through travel and shares personal travel stories that inspire each other. I learned so many insightful travel tips from the NomadHer members who are locals or those who have amazing travel experience based on their past journeys. I feel so connected to this strongly knitted community!

I started NomadHer, as I wanted to travel around the world with NomadHer to meet all those inspiring women out there to be connected, to be supported each other. Also this is based on my own experience of loving traveling, but always gauging and being worried about security issues. This cannot be a more bigger joy for me that the personal travel stories of NomadHer have inspired and really empowered you step out of your comfort zone.
