Immerse yourself in sound. Meditate with soundscapes written only for you.
An alternative to structured meditation platforms, Non uses sound to develop the practice of active listening and invite deepened states of consciousness.
Non produces each sound note by note, making no two sessions ever alike. The soundscapes heard are not pre-recorded—they are uniquely yours in that moment.
A lack of familiarity with each passing note means you may approach each session unclouded by expectation—using sound as your guide for self-exploration.
GENERATIVE SOUND MEDITATIONS
Beneath Non’s surface is a nuanced algorithm that intelligently generates sounds based on your desired energy level, environment, time of day, and motion. Each session generates a unique audio composition based on these variables. Non’s generative algorithm is the key to the app’s diversity of sound.
CALMING OR FOCUSING
To begin each session, you select your desired energy level. Whether you seek calming tones to induce sleep, sonic stimulation to help focus at work, or an auditory vanishing point to guide an existing meditation practice or psychedelic journey, Non responds with a unique sound meditation tailored to your intent.
A DIVERSITY OF SOUND
Non offers a unique blend of organic and synthesized sounds—drawing from contemporary minimal music, traditional world instrumentation, ASMR, and electroacoustic production. This breadth of musical inspiration, combined with extensive sound research, affords a multi-layered yet cohesive experience.
Based on your current location and position relative to the sun, Non’s user interface adapts to reflect the tone of that particular time of day. This response to your surroundings inspires a direct connection to the ever-changing nature of your physical world.
MINIMAL BY DESIGN
Stripped of buttons and an overwhelming library of options, Non strives for simplicity and immediacy. An experience tonally suited for meditation, alleviating your paradox of choice.
TACTILE AND CONNECTIVE
With haptic feedback, each gesture fully integrates with your experience. Any movement of your device directly impacts the sound you hear.

The Epitome of Good (App) Design
I am a daily user of Non, often using the app more than once a day. I listen to sound meditations at my desk, while commuting, before going to bed, while reading, doing yoga, and elsewhere. This is truly the best app on my phone, because it puts you in control of your experience and encourages mindfulness beyond the screen. The diversity of sound is nothing less than incredible. Each time I use the app is a completely different experience, from the color to the sound, each is an entirely different universe. I wish there were more apps like this, that didn’t try and manipulate your experience by tricking you into using it, imposing on your mental space and free time with notifications or reminders. Not only is the functionality perfect and unlike anything else on the market, but it also is all wrapped in beautiful minimal design. Bravo to the Point in Passing team. Thanks for bringing this thing to the world!
Life Changing App
I’m someone who is just discovering how profound that meditation is for my spirit and my mental health. I have depression, anxiety, complex PTSD, and ADHD. It’s difficult to find peace. This app has helped me to do it on a consistent basis. I don’t leave reviews for ANYTHING that I download and I feel I need to thank the creators of this app for helping me.
I’m a musician, so I really tend to focus with interest and curiosity on how things sound. Spacey synth pads, bells, and small accent noises are things that bring me a lot of happiness. This app provides that sort of soundscape in spades- I also love that each session is unique unto itself.
Guided meditations often annoy me, because a) the guides’ voices can be distracting/grating, which throws off my mindfulness, and b) I don’t like being guided in my thoughts- ADHD makes that difficult. Having a unique platform like this to just let my mind calm itself without a voice intruding on things is really, really nice. I truly appreciate this app and it has become a go to for my mental health.
My only critique/request: the ability to sync up with the Health dashboard on iOS would be good, so that I can track my mindful minutes more easily. That addition would make this app absolutely perfect for my needs. It’s hard to improve perfection, though. Thank you, non!
Developer Response ,
It’s words like these that keep us working on Non. Thank you so so much for the personal and thoughtful message, it means more than you know. We’re so happy we can help in any way.
Ps. Health kit integration is in the works, it will be in an upcoming release. :)
[UPDATE] New release is out! Now with Health App integration. :)
Center into your SELF
Where to start?… i suppose the beginning will suffice. i was recommended this app by a friend. I was in a very different part of my life then. i was definitely more depressed, despairing, destructive and generally downtrodden by life always looking through a more nihilistic lens. This app didn’t help with every aspect of my life directly without me doing the growing up and taking on more personal responsibility for my own life. However, non has been a constant companion through every season of my life. non has been my center and where i can return after venturing beyond my limit. It only takes a minute of your time if that’s all you have to spare. In depths of despair it acts almost like stairs, lifting one up doubly as one exerts effort. In closing I’d like to say, “Thank you, non! I’ve befriended you for life.
