Nonogram - 일본의 노노 그램 게‪임‬ 4+

I gave this app a 2 because I had enjoyed it up until now. Now I find it impossible to play it at all. I think the app makers deliberately make it difficult to get the coins or gems you need to continue playing the game so that people will pay the about $18 a month subscription, which is an outrageous amount. First it started with the coins. First I had no trouble getting coins to get hints and could watch an ad to get revivals when I ran out of lives. But when I was out of coins and needed a revival, it said the ad failed to load-repeatedly. You can play ads to get coins to get hints, which can also be used for revivals. I tried to accumulate more coins through pressing the button to watch an ad, and that also sometimes failed to load. I finally learned to accumulate coins so I had them before I needed a revival. Then the problem with the gems started. I had plenty of gems for the first two weeks on the game, but again, as soon as I ran out of gems, the ads failed to load repeatedly. I have no way to get more gems, then the game crashed repeatedly. After three times I quit. You lose your progress each time. I’m not going to buy a subscription.

The themes in this app is, quite frankly, epic. Not only is there idle movements in each background and sound effects to match, but each one is beautifully drawn and integrated into the game. I’m currently enjoying on this new Christmas theme that fades Christmas music in and out between the app’s default music.

One thing I like about this nonogram app is the subject of each puzzle can be reused, but in different styles/difficulty. It’s a bit of an odd thing, but I find it pretty interesting. The reason I bring it up is that another nonogram app I have had puzzles with pictures that are mostly incomprehensible and aren’t even labeled, making it seem like they just slapped together whatever squares to make enough puzzles to make a game.

I do I have one negative thing to say that can hopefully be fixed. If I use a hint in a puzzle but then lose all hearts and then restart because I don’t have enough coins, the hint(s) are erased with everything else. This shouldn’t happen. Other nonogram apps I’ve used keeps the hint lines automatically or gave you the option of keeping them when you restart a puzzle. Not only is it frustrating to rebuy hints I’ve already bought, it makes me want to go back to other nonogram apps. Hopefully this can resolved!

By far the best nonogram app out of the many I have tried. Incredible aesthetics, fun events, relaxing music and themes, has all necessary functionality (except misclicking since it takes a life away and gives you information, but I’m not sure how that would be dealed with and it’s difficult to burn 3 lives on misclicks).

Oddly, I got a notification when I launched the game today saying that there was a new version that I need to get from the app store, when I pressed the button it took me to a completely different app, which was much worse at least gameplay wise (which is the biggest thing for me). I hope this app continues to be supported and they don’t leave it behind for the worse one they are promoting. Alternatively, if the developers tweaked the gameplay of the new one (not showing which number you have completed in a row/column unless it’s impossible for it to be any other ones, not allowing the dragging and releasing to place multiple, etc.)

but yea overall, great app, would recommend
