You will be shot like a cannon, or bowling ball to be precise, into a world with imaginative challenges and artful scenery; the kind of experience you can only get from a truly indie game. Norman himself is lonely and lovable and I found myself rooting for him to achieve his own self-actualization as time after time I flung my bowling ball into his gut. The game gives you just enough guidance to prevent that lost feeling one gets from some other adventure challenges, but not too much that your victories feel cheap. The map you find in-game for example, does not include labels or indicators leading you to feel out the landscape with Norman. The game is so artistically satisfying though, that you will find yourself exploring for the sake of it ... or maybe for the sake of some flying pink elephant creatures....
Being stuck inside all day has gotten me on another iOS gaming kick. Found this game recommended on an indie game sight and am really impressed. There aren't lives, points or time limits, which really makes for a relaxing experience. I have been throwing on some slow lo-fi music in my apartment while exploring and looking for secrets.
Only weird thing that's happened is my bowling ball glitched to a different color on my second playthrough and now I have green instead of blue.
Definitely worth the money. Great game!
The first thing you will notice about this game is the wonderfully drawn art. But it doesn’t stop there. I really like the fact that the game play is unique. Slingshotting around the world gives you a fun and new experience. The puzzles are interesting and well thought out. I haven’t played through the whole thing as of yet, but I am hoping to face bosses in the later levels. I already got my $2.99 worth.
