UpNote: notes, diary, journal 4+

So I started with Note bacn before they were really a thing (I think) more than 12 years ago anyway. I've ridden with them through a lot of junk and changes in the company. I was even ok with paying a monthly fee to keep the company on its feat, but somehwere along the line they just stopped listening to the people who got them where they were!

I sent countless feedback submissions, and even tried help requests, but never got any result (or even response). Now to have installed UpNote... Now, I am a software developer, so they ticked a LOT of buttons with UpNote's markdown support, but they even picked up the engineers napkin with their scketching option on the iPad.

I had a couple ideas after using the app through a messy import from Evernote (not UpNote's fault) to remove some of their formatting garbage. After all is said and done, I was pretty happy but submitted my ideas to the developers. You can imagine my shock when I got a response... from a real person type of response, and they said to keep them coming! You guys are my new fav and I truly hope more find UpNote and decide to upgrade their notetaking experience.

I have been searching for a new notes app since Evernote began to charge outrageous prices. I have tried Standard notes, BEAR, Notesnook, Amplenotes.... may I continue. After searching high and low, I have come to the conclusion that Upnotes is the best because 1. It is simple. 2. The app is written well so it does not get in the way of your work. 3. I have not had any syncing issues. For me this means that they have the best importer from evernote. They have markdown support. 4. Robust features including - Collapasable sections, note linking, Apple pencil support, text color, higlighting etc. 5. Finaly the way they handle attachments is excellent. My attachments look outstanding.

The only negative I have is that UpNotes does not have end to end encription. I hope they are able to develop this feature in the future. But, inspite of that flaw, because of all that this app offers it deserves a 5 star rating!

I am really loving this note taking app. I was using evernote but I am a not a fan of the visual look. It is stale and lifeless. With this you can customize your notebooks and have different covers.

The nested notebooks are a gamechanger as well. You can just keep nesting notebooks inside of eachother which is like having a ton of folders inside one another. Evernote does not have this Feature and makes this note taking system a 10/10 for me. Evernote does have a way where you can do it once to create a folder inside of your main notebooks. But with this you can create infinite number of folders because you can keep creating nested folders inside of a nested folder.

Its a very clean and great looking app that makes me more motivated to use it. I also like that its cheaper and you can purchase it once without paying a monthly fee.

I would love to see an option where you can copy stuff from your computer on to the note. Like dragging a folder or file. In omnifocus if you attach a file to the note. You can go back and open it and it will take you to that file on your computer. It's almost like saving a shortcut or path so that when you click it just goes to that file locaiton on your compuer and you can open it from there. I am not sure if its even possible but bringing it up just in case.
