This product is worthless and anyone who disagrees or gives this a good rating, is probably working for the company. I had this doorbell for three days and followed everything correctly and it never connected. I’ve called the troubleshooting department and the guy is a joke. He walked me through everything and the first day he hung up on me, because it was close to closing time. The second day he was “calling” the engineering department but the engineer was in a meeting. Third day called and the “engineer” put in a request to the programmer because this was an isolated issue. I told him that I’ll just return it back to Lowes and his reply, okay. Never once did he try to keep me as a customer. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS GARBAGE. Spend the extra and get the Ring or Nest.

I don’t quite understand the negativity about this app and product. I purchased an open box unit from Home Depot despite all the poor reviews due to the aggressive discount. Installation of the unit was pretty straight forward, but I couldn’t activate the doorbell because it was previously activate to an account and there is no way to factory reset it without being the owner who activated it. So the company approved an RMA and asked me to send them my unit (which they provided a free UPS shipping label for me to do) and sent me out a replacement unit as soon as they were notified that I had shipped my old one.
A few days later my replacement unit arrived. I followed the activation instructions and it has worked for me without issues since. I get notified when there is activity sensed at my front door. I am able to hear and speak with people at the front door. So I’m quite pleased with both the product and customer service.
I can’t seem to add additional viewers so my wife can use the app on her phone, but I will call customer service today to see if they can help with that. I also would like to see them allow speaking with and hearing people at the doorbell without having to switch between speaking and hearing mode in the app. Finally, I would like to be able to access the recordings on the internet via browser. I will ask support if there is a way to do that.
Please note there are two apps for this device. If you download the old one it will not install and you will not get conformation email. Not sure why they don’t delete the non working app. Once installed it worked as expected for a low dollar device. The camera is good night and day. The motion detection sends me notifications within 1 second someone steps on my deck. The two way talk works but is not very loud. Overall you get what you pay for. Thumbs up here.
Here’s one other problem I should note. I’ve tried to sign up for the premium service but have not been able to. Its bad when you wave money at a company and they don’t seem to want it...?
