##About The Park.
This dramatic landscape testifies to nature's size, beauty, and diversity--huge mountains, rugged foothills, deep canyons, vast caverns, and the world's largest trees. These two parks lie side by side in the southern Sierra Nevada east of the San Joaquin Valley. Weather varies a lot by season and elevation, which ranges from 1,370' to 14,494'.
Download the app before you arrive. Cell service and Wi-Fi are extremely limited in the park.
Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

Offline Map DL Feature Never Works
Sort of defeats the purpose of having this app on my phone if I can’t download the map to use off-line since Sequoia Kings Canyon national Park has absolutely no cell service available and definitely no Wi-Fi to be able to use my phone off-line. This seems like a bug that they should be able to fix pretty easily but there seems to also be a lot of complaints about it so I don’t know how useful this app really is.
Indispensable - be sure to download offline content
I usually don't write app reviews very often, but after spending 3 days in Kings Canyon hiking and sightseeing, this app was a godsend. There is no mobile phone or Internet service in Kings Canyon, so be sure to download offline content before heading into the park. The app takes a while to load up at first, but once it does, you'll have everything on your phone. It showed all the hiking trails, and with your phone GPS, you can see exactly where you are at all times. There's also great information on where to stop to enjoy the scenery and how long the trails are. Kudos to NPS for such a great app! [iOS 13, iPhone 6s]
Huge Help for Navigating The Sequoias
I don’t write reviews at all but I feel so compelled to write one for this app because it was such a huge help. Thank you so much for all the hard work that was put into this great app. There are no cell service in the Sequoias and this app saved us from having to navigate through the park. Make sure to download the map for offline use before entering the park and make sure your internet is fast because you will have to download a big data. The app can track you via GPS and it has all the attractions/spots/campgrounds/etc marked down.
I’d give it 6 stars if I could :)
