The NRSV: Audio Bible for Everyone contains a superb new audio version by John Banks, specially commissioned by SPCK from Ladbroke Audio, bringing the NRSV to life as never before.
This new app, offering fantastic value, seamlessly integrates the audio with the text, and includes the option to add access to the For Everyone series of commentaries and Bible studies written by Tom Wright and John Goldingay, via monthly or yearly in-app subscription.
Subscription options (for Commentaries and Study Guides):
Monthly subscription: £1.99/month
Yearly subscription: £19.99/year
The subscription options are 1 month or 12 months in duration. If you choose to subscribe, you will be charged a subscription fee according to your country. The subscription fee will be shown in the app before you complete the payment. Your subscription will automatically renew every month year at the then-current subscription fee unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before end of the then-current subscription period. Your iTunes account will automatically be charged within 24 hours prior to the end of the then-current period. The subscription fee will be charged monthly or yearly. You can turn off auto-renew at any time from your iTunes account settings.
About in-app subscriptions
- All subscriptions are auto-renewing
- Payment will be charged to iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase
- Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period
- Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period.

Ratings and Reviews
Great app!! Few small bugs
The app is great for reading or listening. The audio version of the text is very moving and powerful. The ability to highlight notes is a nice touch.
Only issues I’ve see are that the chapters of Philippians are in reverse order (the chapter headings say 1-2-3-4, but it’s actually the text of 4-3-2-1 respectively. Additionally, it would be great if the audio still worked when the phone was locked. As it currently is, you have to have the app open to listen.

This relatively new app is wonderful and works flawlessly! I was very pleased to find it as I love the NRSV and immersion reading.
I do hope as time rolls on that an option for the audio to automatically continue to the next chapter is included - not a deal breaker by any means though as this is a VERY generous offering of love for the money. I LOVE THIS APP!!!
BTW: The Commentary/Study guide extra is WELL worth it!!! The app easily stands as an amazing offering and valuable spiritual resource without it as well though.

Good audio aspects
Love that I can read or listen in my preferred NRSV format. My one issues would be that there is very little headings or labels so it is hard to know what book of the Bible you are actually in the middle of reading. It also does not advance visually so it is hard to tell what verse was just read if you are not following along. If those things were fixed it would get 5 stars hands down.
