Description

Occulto is a indie adventure game. Help Eliot find his Magister!

Occulto is a point and click artistic adventure game set in a fantasy world.

It is being developed by two fans of the genre. This is our very first game and we want to create an artistic adventure game, with challenging riddles, hand drawn scenes, animations and original soundtracks.

The whole game is under development, and its release will be approximately on the end of 2022 or the first months of 2023. Please be patient, this is a truly indie game! :)

You will guide Eliot, a young mage apprentice, through riddles, mysteries, traps and help him find his Magister, who mysteriously disappeared.
An evil presence is looking for a powerful book which is under the custody of the Magister.

One of the best new point and click of the last couple years

Awesome demo. Took off. Star because of the annoying click and drag inventory. It's too close to the top of the screen and I repeatedly kept dragging down my notification bar. Perhaps change it to a click item in inventory and click part of scen to interact with. Doubt I'm only one having this issue. Also should add a feature to turn down the background music or option to click it off completely while leaving environmental sound effects on. Otherwise it was a great game. Can't wait for the full version. Good job!

A really beautiful game, a great start

The game is just beautiful, with many sweet touches that make it a joy to play. My main suggestion would be to add some way of giving the player a bit more direction - maybe a task list, maybe some zoom-ins into interactive areas, maybe a tutorial about how the game works - things like that. Maybe you could add a feature where, if you click a button, it’s gives some indication of what you need to do or what you’re looking for. As it is it’s pretty much all trial and error to figure out what to do and how to solve puzzles, which can get frustrating and annoying. For instance: when I needed to do something with the berries, I was at a complete loss and had to try them in way too many places before I figured out how the game worked and what I was supposed to do with them. I don’t mind a certain amount of having to figure things out but it can get tiresome if it’s too much. Plus, the less experienced player could easily get lost. All that said, it’s still a five star start to a game which looks amazingly promising. Well done devs! Looking forward to more.

Fun and interesting, but one major flaw

I downloaded this demo on a whim, and was pleasantly surprised with how well crafted it is. Great art, animation, and puzzles. However, there is one major flaw that proved to be pretty frustrating: accessing items from the inventory would always pull my Notification Center down from the top of the iPhone screen instead of dragging items. Having to try multiple times to get an item out was almost a game breaker for me. If this could be addressed, I’d be more than happy to purchase the full game when it is released. Other than that, very nice work!
