A roguelike shooter with a top-down view where you play as a Miner whose spaceship has crashed on a planet, filled with underwater monsters! Use the time between each attack to power up your diver, mech, or weapon. Build automatic turrets, use drones to gather resources and improve your skills to increase your chances of survival. Discover mysterious locations and fantastic undersea deep biomes. EACH time you explore the underwater worlds, the layout changes, making every journey unique. You never play the same scenario twice in this drill dungeon core roguelite.

- How to Play Ocean Keeper: Dome Survival:

Play with two hands and swipe your finger across the screen to move the diver in any direction, or use the virtual joystick. Find a mine (a deep hollow lighted in blue), dive into it and start digging to find resources. Since you don't have a backpack, you need to drag the resources yourself up to the mech. Get out of the mine as soon as you hear the sound of an attack or see the timer expire. Attack aliens by aiming at them and firing bullets. Collect various resources to unlock powerful upgrades: improve your weapons, increase the impact of your drill, boost your jetpack's max speed, and many other upgrade paths - each of which gives you and your dome the best chance of survival until dawn!

Fun so far; only found one bug

The “power” and “reload” metacurrency upgrades for the bomb do not work. Worse; they take 300 metacurrency from your bank, but don’t actually upgrade. I wasted 900 metacurrency before I realized the upgrade wasn’t going up. So far everything else seems to upgrade just fine.

Good Concept - Terrible Execution

For $1 I’m not mad. That’s more replay value than a bag of chips. But as much as I wanted to enjoy the game I just couldn’t. It’s the upgrading system. Specifically the green diamonds. They’re tied to most things you upgrade including health. The developers intentionally make the game hard by making the enemies stronger. But you the player really don’t get stronger. The issue with health comes when you need to repair yourself with the green diamonds which you barely find. Remember you need those to upgrade other stuff as well. In a game like Dead Cells you regain health after every stage or even pick up food during game play. Not in this game. It just makes for a not so fun experience. The enemies are repetitive with no real distinction of character. By the way the Crab boss is one of the stupidest bosses I’ve encountered in any game. Not because he’s hard but because he’s programmed to keep attacking with no real way to combat his movement. Is this worth a buck, yea but be prepared to be disappointed.

Simple but has potential

Fun game so far. Enjoying the two different phases (digging vs defending) and learning the upgrade options is simple. My biggest gripe is how tiny everything is on screen. Bumping the UI text up a size could help a lot, as well as making the dig portion more zoomed in (a lot of the screen is empty). The no-controller controls are fine but not great. I’ll probably play mostly with a controller. Excited to see what future updates bring!
