If you’re a surfer or waterman looking for an aesthetic watch complication that is subtle and visually appealing while of course keeping accurate tide, look no further. Ocean Watch is a perfect tide visualizing app. I wish I could buy this. It is worth something.

I will say, this app needs better support for the Hawaiian Islands. Many people here use tide charts for surfing, windsurfing, swimming and canoe racing. More locations and expanded beaches and common surf spots would be greatly appreciated.

A beautifully designed app

I’ve been in the software business (as an inventor, 4 US Patents) for 30 years now and Ocean Watch has to rank up there with the very best when it comes to it’s user interface. Building something of such quality combined with simplicity and sheer elegance is non-trivial. My hats off to them. You won’t be disappointed with this app.

APP CRASH-DIES, sadly, every time!

Ocean Watch looks like a good idea and some people are able to make it work, but not me!

I’m using a new iPad Air Fourth Generation and iOS 15.x, which NO other apps which crash.

- Actions I take:

A) Launch app, which opens into a wonderful part of Maine, where I’ve spent a fair amount of time sailing.

B) Select a known location, like Vinalhaven, Maine, on the Penobscot Bay, where the tidal change is almost 12 feet between high and low tide (VERY important if you’re about to,set an anchor!).

C) A little tab-flag pops up, showing the location’s name larger, with an arrow on the right hand side, presumably to click for the tide details

D) INSTANT DEATH CRASH, with the app disappearing, also not showing up as an app running in the background.

LASTLY…… the devs posted a comment with an email address which has bounced every time I’ve tried to reach them since posting.

As a sailor who uses an iPad on the boat for navigation around the world, this would be a great app…. If it worked.
