OceanHero is a modern web browser with all the features you love - dark mode, private browsing, tracker blocking, and many more.
However, unlike other browsers, OceanHero lets you join the fight against the plastic pollution of our oceans.
How does it work?
Just browse the web as you do anyway, and OceanHero fights plastic pollution at the source. This happens through a coordinated effort between various organizations that are active in the most polluted areas of the world.
How does OceanHero fight plastic pollution?
OceanHero helps the operation of plastic collection hubs in areas with the highest degree of pollution through our partner Plastic Bank. Often, those areas lack any waste management. This is the case because those areas are often impoverished, and the required infrastructure is lacking.
Collectors can return ocean-bound plastic for money, sanitation, or electricity. This gives plastic a value and helps stop pollution at the source.
Additionally, together with our partner Trash Waste Solutions, we build micro-recycling plants in remote areas with limited waste management support.
This allows the local community to recycle plastic locally. The best part? OceanHero creates building bricks from the collected plastic. Showing people that plastic can be a useful resource.
Finally, we work with Waste Free Oceans. This organization equips fishers with special nets to catch plastic in highly polluted harbor areas.
OceanHero does not store or track your searches.
Whenever you do a search in OceanHero, it is sent encrypted to our servers, and we don’t store them or record a history of them. Unlike most search engines, OceanHero does not create a specific profile of you by using your past searches.

Ocean hero is amazing there is more than five trillion prices of junk and litter polluting our body of waters.
And sea life is dying because of it. They don’t deserve to die it is our fault despite is dying. Not only that but animals who want to drink water like all living beings need water, they drink polluted water which will make them sick. We are polluting air,water, etc. we should start by air and water. This app is amazing fully support it we need more people willing to do these sort of stuff in the world.
My Favorite Browser!
Absolutely my favorite browser. I do a lot of web searches and it’s gratifying to know that each time I do a search in Ocean Hero, I’m contributing to the cleanup of the ocean.
Can’t see my personal progress
On the desktop top version of ocean hero there’s a tracker that tells you with every five searches you collected a bottle but that doesn’t appear to be a thing on mobile? I even looked up ocean hero separate from the downloaded app on chrome and it still wasn’t there which is a shame cause I like this browser for its good intentions but how do I even know my impact.
