More functions than I expected and still easy to use!

I was pleasantly surprised that in addition to doing OCR easily and accurately, the output is immediate and has no errors. It also gives you the text in both the formatted (ie, still in the bulleted/paragraph form) and the unformatted forms (just the text in one single block). And you can make edits right there in the program easily. And Save the output as either a PDF or .txt file. And for a free app, I was surprised there weren’t more ads- I haven’t seen any yet, but maybe they’ll come? But no matter what, no ads or pop ups got in the way or slowed down the OCR at all. Would recommend!

Works well for scanned images like patents

I use this for making document images searchable and it works well for this. It appears to do an optical character recognition on the image and then embed that text beneath the scanned document so that you can still recognize the text and formatting of the original document and also select and search the text in the document. However, you cannot easily convert the resulting PDF to a an equivalently formatted Word document (at least I could not). The app generates a watermarked PDF file for free. If you want the watermark removed you have to pay a fee. For most or all of my work, the watermark does not bother me.

I am using the free version at the moment, just to test out but I may end up upgrading to the pro version. I have just started using this to pull all the infor from my professors class slides to help in taking notes. At first I had issue with the line by line editing I had to do when I wanted my text formatted, then I realized I could edit in raw text version and then export, or export to pages format and save. Pretty flxible all things considering for an OCR program. Over all great program and hardly any mistakes!!
