I’m looking forward to using it. Sounds like just what I have been looking for to read a whole bunch of business cards. My IrisScan scanner was phased out and did not leave me with an option to scan the business card straight into my contacts on the Mac. This will let me scan the cards as OCR, copy the text for each card, past the text into the notes, move the name field to the company field and Voila!.
Works well after figuring out some details
Once I got this running it did a great job extracting text from a scanned printed document. I had to figure out that it seemed to only like .png files and didn't accept .pdf or .jpeg. Once that hurdle was overcome, the rest was easy. Accurate and reliable.
