Description

It’s easy to see why – who doesn’t want to feel like they’re actually a part of the game that they’re playing? Odyssey Toys introduces the Upshot Bow & Arrow, which puts you right in the middle of the heart-pounding action by turning you into an augmented realty first-person archer! The Upshot: Dragons app sets the stage for gamers to be hunting dragons in their own virtual home setting.

Decent gameplay, but nothing else... felt a little unfinished

Pretty decent app, the graphics are nice and there is a nice variety in the dragons themselves. Other than that, there’s not really much else. It’s just a point-and-shoot game.

The coin rewards it gives you for hitting the dragons are useless, as there’s nothing to spend them on. No customizable characters/bows. (Which may be somewhat of a good thing, since it doesn’t save your coins or progress once you exit the app.)

There’s no saved progress for what level you left off at, (really, the levels are arbitrary since you can skip around to whichever one anyways) but it’s not like angry birds or cut the rope, where it shows you your score on the previous levels and you can try to beat it. Here, it feels unstructured and maybe a little lazy.

So, for those of you just looking for pure point-and-shoot, this is the app for you. But I honestly thought it could have been better.

Awesome

Fun to play, the second you get on the app the bow connects so if it doesn’t connect at first that’s why. Super fun and I really enjoyed playing the first few levels so far.

The Bow doesn’t do anything

I bought the bow for 30 dollars and u don’t use it other than to connect to the game. It’s like buying this game for 30 dollars it’s a waste of money. It’s not that fun of a game. The virtual reality part is only a little bit virtual reality. You’ll see a dragon hovering over ur dining room table. It doesn’t tell u what to do on the screen it just sends u into a game of shooting arrows at dragons.
