Odysound - Spatial Soundscapes 4+

Incredible, and my ideal soundscape(s)

This is exactly the app I was looking for as a long fiction fantasy writer! Before I found this app, I would never write to soundscapes because I was overwhelmed by the choices. Odysound has an incredible, but simple collection of high-quality auditory environments which suit the speculative settings I write about! I also love that you can’t scroll back or forward which make these environments feel more real.

I would love to have a few more soundscapes available, because the existing ones are so great! I would also love to be able to listen to the current soundscape even while browsing the menu, which is currently not a feature. It would also be great to be able to organize saved soundscapes. Finally, a bonus feature could be dynamically selecting how low or high certain features are present in a soundscape (e.g., modulate how calm or violent the Pacific is).

My ideal soundscape would be one for a setting of mixed water- and land-dwelling creatures who are humanoid. This would sound like aquatic elements interacting with terrain elements, while occasionally delving into one or the other. There would also be elements of nature-based technology in the interacting environments-such as plants trained to open as doors or water currents conveying transportation. This sound world would be incredible to hear come to life!

Mind-blowing, and my ideal soundscape…

First of all, It’s an incredible app, I recommend it to everyone. I have logged many hours of listening, and not once have I heard a loop or stitch. The coolest part, in my opinion, is that the sound is SO realistic that I have turned away and gotten the shivers when a “bug” sound “flew” by my ear. I can’t help but visualize the deep, immense world these sound designers have painted for my ear. The sounds are beautiful, large, creative…they transport you.

As a challenge by the app, I’ve been asked to describe my ideal soundscape. Here goes, my challenge for the app! I would love an addition of a moody, blue, eerie soundscape that almost sounds perilous. My favorite thing to do with this app is pair the sounds with books I’m reading…and I love books that creep me out. A sound that makes me want to constantly look behind my shoulder and sit with my back to a wall is what I have in mind. To achieve this effect on my own, I listen to artists like Martin Stig Anderson, who scored the Playdead games, INSIDE and LIMBO. But, I know that for the purpose I have in mind, I trust none other than these developers!

Everything ive every needed to sleep to

I am a daily vivid and lucid dreamer and i can honestly say the depth of dreams i have been having since i subscribed has be indescribable, im talking full on scifi in depth dreams, my wife has even commented since i have been using this app to sleep with i snore less so its helping us both immensely and for that i am truly grateful. The biggest and most frustrating issue i am having atm is i keep getting a no internet connection error, and it wouldnt be rhat bad but its like evey time and im trying to just sleep and not have to worry. This is why only 3 stars because for me i am trying to relax and it makes it super frustrating, when i hit ok i lose connection but if i press nothing it keeps playing so i just dont understand. Just a suggestion i notice the music changes to energetic towards 6-7 am, maybe ifs just me that feels this way but i always wake up to birds chirpingish around this time, i know you have a timer but could we ad a time around when we would like to wake up and then the birds chirp to wake us up naturally. Also an option to mix different tracks, i know they play in a certain key but anyway you can can get the tracks to modulate into eachother? I know this review is rather winded and i thank you for taking the time to read. Keep the new tracks comming especially the scifi ones!! To anyone reading this and knowing weather or not it it worth it, trust me it is. Peace and happy lucid dreaming!!!!
