Offsuit: Texas Holdem Poker +17

When you look up poker on the AppStore, most of the apps you get are bloated, flashy online games that take up valuable storage, and push ads and microtransactions down your throat, never failing to mention their exclusive bundles and offers every time you open the app. Yeah, there’s 2 or 3 offline poker apps,but it’s practically niche,and what’s on offer still takes up SO much space!
Offsuit is much different. Besides it’s minimal design that makes it fit in with more tech-oriented apps, it only takes up 50mb, has optional microtransactions and ads! And it’s completely offline to boot, with no registration nessecary! The only downside is that there ARE no accounts as of writing, but the app mentions that the developers are working on adding that in. If you wanna get better at poker, or just want to have fun with it without risking actual money, I’d say to download this one. It’s free, after all!

With as bloated and ad-riddled as almost any app is these days, Offsuit is refreshingly light while still having all the features you would expect. Perfect for playing when you don’t have an internet or cell connection. Great for practicing against computers or real people. No extra nonsense to distract you from playing poker. The only improvement I can think of would be adding the ability to pre select your decisions, i.e. a “call any” button, or a “check/fold” button so you can indicate your decisions before your turn comes around. Overall I believe this is the best poker app you can get

This is by far the worst poker app I’ve played on (and there are some garbage ones out there). First off, you are unable to bet a sizing that isn’t a multiple of the BB. For example, if the blinds are 4/8 (weird blind value isn’t it? It’s weird but that’s what you have to go through if you play the tournaments), you are unable to bet a sizing like 12 into a pot of 36. You HAVE to bet either 8 or 16, either of which are not 1/3 pot. Second, the bots will open 4x and sometimes 7x BB preflop. The reason for this is that the flop, turn, and river are rigged against the player sometimes; the bots will flat call a 4-bet jam with J6o and then hit a straight with four of the cards on board. The amounts of four-card on the board straights and the amount of full houses (but not flushes??) that occur in this game is extremely suspicious.
