Better than XE or InstaREM for USD $ to MXN peso

OFX has consistently given me the best rate and fastest service to Mexican pesos. I read the review from the person who was having trouble setting up their Mexican account number with only 10 digits. While a Mexican bank account may be 10 digits, the Clabe used for all SPEI transfers is always 18 digits. Mexican banks should give you both. It’s also NOT your 16 digit debit card number. As for speed of transfer, whenever I use a wire transferring my funds to OFX, I get it the same day at my bank in Mexico. An afternoon wire might be next morning. All ACH transfers of funds to OFX usually takes no longer than 3-4 days. I’ve always had great customer service whenever I’ve called. Initial setup is a process, but if you give what they ask for, it’s fairly smooth. Just make sure bank account names match, addresses match, etc. and it’s a piece of cake. If you don’t think you are getting the best rate, call them. Also consider how much you are transferring and how frequently. I’m sure these factors may affect your rate. If you only transfer $500 every 6 months, why would you expect the very best rates? OFX has always given me the best rates directly from my US bank to Mexican bank without having to use their App to spend my money or having to deal with a quasi banking App such as Wise and the like.

Great service, easier than wise & I got a preferred rate

As a long time loyal customer I called and complain because wise kept having better rates, they topped up my free transfers and gave me a preferred rate. For this reason I will stay a long time loyal customer & the service of wise is really bad, once I spent two hours on the phone just to log into my account & wise never returns my calls. I hate the service of wise, but ofx has very good service, they always return my calls, are friendly and efficient. I have been a customer since 2016 & I strongly recommend OFX if you want to transfer money safely & efficiently.

This company is a disorganized nightmare

I’ve been trying to verify my account with this company for months. I sent them a year of bank statements to verify funds. They never replied. Then when I called them they wanted me to send more because the month had rolled over. I provide them again. Then they ask me for proof of the source of the funds. Why did they not ask me for this in the previous 6 phone calls I’ve had with them. I talk to reps who tell me everything is fine and they’ll get back to me later in the day. Nothing. It is always something and they just can’t get it together. Now they say I don’t have the funds in my account to move over the amount I said I would move over 8 months ago. I’ve been using other apps to transfer smaller sums over because this company is such a mess. Go with anyone else if you can. This company just wastes your time and doesn’t care. Just the absolute worst.
