more This is the best recording app out there for transitions! Download it now! This is like the old vine camera but it records in 9:16 to fit all of the typical social platforms(Tiktok, Likee app, Byte, etc.) Originally I thought you couldn’t remove the watermark. After posting my first review of this app the developer got back with me in less than a week and informed me you CAN remove the watermark in the settings(I should have figured that... 😅😊) for $1. The ghost mode combined with the ability to remove the watermark makes this the best recording app for cross posting on all the 9:16 social video apps in my opinion! You won’t be disappointed!! #StayEpic!
Developer Response Hi! Thanks for your amazing review! There is a way to remove the watermark though. It’s in settings, available through the gear icon from the main menu. The in-app purchase is only a dollar.Hope this helps!

I love filming tiktok day in my life vlogs, but I hate how the limit is 3 minutes. With this app, I can now freely record all of my adventures throughout the day and simply condense it down later! Without having to limit all the content :)

my kids love making daily highlight reels with me.i love this app. i’ve always wanted something to record highlights from each day, but without the need to construct them into a single video. this does exactly that. and with the multiple projects addon, i don’t have to choose between using it for life and using it for content.simple. brilliantly executed. perfect pricing model.
Developer Response Wow, thanks for this lovely review! So great to hear from folks appreciating the core features we built the app around <3

Another new editor feature: Clip import!
From the ‘more’ menu in the editor (bottom right button) select ‘Import Clip’ and select a clip from your camera roll.
11.1 Apr 13
Select multiple clips in the editor to quickly export as a separate sequence!
That’s it for now, but sit tight, more exciting features are underway.

Polished and updated for iOS 26. And addressed some issues:
- Fixed inconsistent preview playback behavior
- Improved handling of record gesture (specifically when dismissing context menus)
- Fixed camera preview becoming unavailable after quick export
- Improved video setting when exporting for smaller file sizes
- And added an option in Pro Settings to disable HEVC export
- Fixed inconsistent initial preview when trimming a clip
10.11 Feb 17
Lot’s of little fixes for your enjoyment.
Widgets and LockScreen Capture:
- Fixed a crash in the LockScreen Capture extension after recording a video.
- Inactivity timer no longer disrupts the app’s state when opening from a shortcut, widget or locked camera.
- No longer showing “Touch and hold the screen to record video” on the LockScreen Capture extension when project already has recordings.
- Closing a project opened from a widget now always animates appropriately.
- Fixed clip deletion animation in the LockScreen Capture extension.
- Starting a ‘Quick Preview’ from the Locked Capture Extension now actually starts a quick preview.
Touch handling:
- The player seek gesture is much less sensitive. Pausing by keeping the screen pressed doesn’t lead to unwanted seeks.
- Decreased tap area of delete and share button, hopefully causing less accidental taps.
State handling logic:
- Camera flash no longer stays on a bit too long after recording.
- Fixed clip selection behavior after deleting a clip from the long-press menu in the editor.
- Deleting a clip that is still being processed (still shown as red in the timeline) now deletes that clip, not the one before it.
- Fixed inconsistencies with starting/stopping the camera when opening the app or quickly moving between projects.

Tiny update addressing two things:
- Added support for external USB microphones.
- Fixed a botched landscape transition when opening a project with the ‘Reduce Motion’ accessibility setting enabled.
Thank you for updating and reading this!
10.9 03/27/2025
- Fixed a problem with captures from Locked Screen Capture not being imported properly

PREVIOUSLY IN OK VIDEO UPDATES:
Now with support for the latest iOS features!
LOCK SCREEN CAPTURE
Record right from your lock screen without having to unlock your device! Just add the OK Video Control to you one of the bottom elements on your lock screen. This allows you to continue recording to your currently opened OK Video project. To preview, edit, or export your device needs to be unlocked and it’ll seamlessly transition to the full app. Neat right?
OPEN FROM CONTROL CENTER
Add the new OK Video button to Control Center and open the app from anywhere. It’s almost too convenient.
RECORD USING DEDICATED BUTTON
Press and hold a hardware button (the new Capture Control or either volume button) to add a recording to your project. Even easier than tapping anywhere on the screen! That new Capture Control also allows you to change the camera’s zoom factor, so cool.
10.8 10/07/2024
- Fixed a problem with captures imported from Locked Screen Capture going to the wrong project.
- Tiny little update to fix a tiny little issue with inconsistent trim previews.
- Also tweaked the transition to and from My Projects some more, what do you think?

10.7 10/02/2024
NEW STUFF:
- Cleaning up your views a little when opening the app after a few minutes of inactivity. Should reduce the feeling of “where the Clips am I?!”
- New Pro Setting: 'Always Show Projects When Opening App’. When enabled, OK Video will forget what project you had opened after a little while.
- Introducing a better stabilization mode, which fixes some issues for folks using an iPhone 15 Pro/Max. While this means clips might take a little longer to process, most people shouldn’t even notice and clip start-stop timing should be just as accurate as always. As a side-effect, recording with Ghost Mode is now stabilized too! Also this mode can be disabled in Pro Settings.
IMPROVEMENTS AND FIXES:
- Greatly increased drag threshold for zoom gestures. Hopefully accidental zooms happen less frequently now.
- Now setting the correct initial video stabilization mode when opening a project, which in some cases was ignored. Sorry about that.
- When opening the new lock screen capture extension without first having opened the app, a little dialog is presented prompting the iOS 18 enthusiast to do so first. Otherwise the extension has no idea where to store its recordings, so sad.
- Fixed support for the new Capture Control on the latest iPhones. It now actually lets you zoom!
- Improved unexpected/inconsistent state when opening the app from a widget, extension or deep-link.
- Deep-links are now rightfully ignored when the app is in the process of migrating from old data after a big update.
- The app is no longer remains unresponsive when a in-app purchase celebratory animation is interrupted. Also why would anybody interrupt these?

Fixing some bugs, taking care of business:
- Finally headset mics and external microphones are supported
- Updated the audio pipeline in general to be much simpler and future proof.
- Looping previews aren’t behaving looping weirdly anymore
- Toyed around with the projects screen transition a little
9.1 04/26/2023
Have you ever felt the need to record a quick video while still working on another video? Well, today is your lucky day! Today we’re adding a big new feature to OK Video: Projects!
Tap the projects button in the top left corner and you’ll be taken to the brand-new ‘My Projects’ section. This is where you get an extra project to work on, for free! Have you ever tried making a time-lapse of a growing plant in your home? Or wanted to goof off with a quick video while also documenting your vacation in a longer video? I haven’t but that sure sounds like fun!
With a single in-app purchase you’ll unlock an additional four projects to work on. Kinda like save slots in those old school videogames, just pick any project!
This is a pretty big update. While I was working on the Projects feature I also found a whole slew of bugs and little things I had to fix. Here's a list, I know some people like to go through to these. Maybe your pet peeve is on here too and I’ve finally noticed!
- Added Projects feature: two free projects and a total of six available projects unlocked with an in-app purchase.
- Added an option to default your zoom to 0.5x, meaning that the ‘Reset Zoom’ button zooms out further for people who have an ultra wide lens.
- Fixed multiple issues with rotation. Now hopefully never recording upside down again. The app should always rotate to the orientation of your device when it can and will be forced in the right direction when needed.
- Fixed scaling issues when recording with low light boost on.
- Optimized parts of the app that made the experience slower than necessary.
- Found and fixed the problem with out-of-sync audio, leading to some videos refusing to export. This should not happen anymore.
- Improved timing when previewing your project starting at a specific clip in the Timeline Editor. (Hit the play button when a clip is selected in the editor)
- A lot of code is looking way nicer now. You might not see it, but trust me: you’ll feel it.
Also: thanks to Shilly for once again making a super tasty design, thanks to Rafa for making the app icons super bright and shiny, and thanks to Sarah and Ryan for helping me out with the copy!
That seems to be all! Really curious about what you think of this new feature and would love to hear your suggestions. Don’t hesitate to email me at hi@okvideo.app
OK BYE

Nothing big to report... yet! Some small under the hood changes:
- Increased app icon loudness by 150% (look at those colors POP!)
- Fixed some issues where some recordings might go haywire and misbehave
- More small stuff that nobody might ever notice, by I do! I care!
Stay tuned for bigger stuff in the coming weeks :)
8.1 04/28/2022
Hi! How nice of you to stay up to date. You’re not going to regret this one, I promise.
Some small fixes this time around:
- Fixed an issue on notched devices where swiping up the app would unexpectedly cause it to start recording. That was annoying and I’m sorry
- No longer showing the watermark when previewing a single clip in the timeline editor, it had no business being there in the first place
- The icons in the Pro Tips now are much bigger. I like it better this way
In case you missed it -- and you might have because who reads this anyway -- OK Video got a huge new feature and a fresh new design! That new feature I like to call Timeline Editing and allows you to remove any clip in your composition, but also rearrange the clips to really mix it up. Just tap the timeline at the top of the screen or that scissors button next to it and get editing right away*! (*after a modest one-time purchase)
All the icons in the app got a brand new look (including the app icon, isn’t it cute?) and honestly, I couldn’t be happier. Michael Shillingburg really did a stellar job
OK thanks for reading this, don’t forget I love you and please take out the thrash the next time you're leaving the house and also please be safe and think of others.
bye
8.0.2 01/14/2021
Big changes in this one, hope you’re ready for ‘em!
• Timeline Editor
Tap the timeline or the edit button in the top of the screen to bring up the Timeline Editor. Here you can delete individual clips and even rearrange your whole composition. Yes, you can finally remove accidental shots! Or insert an extra shot in the beginning, or make same-person dialogs easier, or, or... so much possibilities!
• New design
The whole app got a fresh coat of paint and all icons (including the App Icon!) have been redesigned. Ain’t they cute?
• Flash
There’s now a new option in the menu that allows you to turn on the flash while recording. Real handy when it’s too dark to OK Video. It also works with the front-facing camera, no idea how we pulled that off ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
• Pro Tips
When waiting for your video to export, you can now use this time to read up on some pro tips! For example, did you know that both the preview button and the OK button have a special function when you long-press them? There’s certainly some stuff you might not know already that’ll make your OK Video experience even better. If you didn’t have enough time to read these tips, you can always read all of them if you scroll down a bit in settings.
• Haptics
People with iOS 13 and up now get to feel every action (except during recording as that will mess with the recorded audio). Button presses and using the menu now got a whole lot more tactile.
Thank you for using OK Video! Please leave a review if you like this little app, it really helps. And make sure to tell all your friends!
Full boring list of changes:
- Added timeline editor with in-app purchase to rearrange and delete any clip
- Added flash mode, uses device’s flash during recording
- Now showing ‘pro tips’ during export and from settings
- Updated app icon, all fonts and button icons, and more subtle design changes
- Added haptics for buttons and menus on devices running iOS 13 and up
- Updated watermark, now showing logo and informative text
- Fixed issue where last clip sometimes introduces an echo
- When saving video, only permission to save is asked
