Ominous Objects: Trail of Time by LynxMinx

Thanks for the explanation, Izzyoc. I thought that was the case but for the complainers out there.... You would think people would be excited about upcoming games but they pick us apart instead! I agree with the PuppetShow CRAP! That's right! I said it! 💩💩💩😡👎🏻
I will get back to you all once I play this ostensibly boring game, but I have nothing else to do anyway! Note to Catalina5: please complain to BigFish directly about PuppetShow! Eventually they will get on ERS to issue an update, but there needs to be many complaints from the gamers/reviewers. Also the Sunward game was amazing, so you should play it, and the new Parables was pretty good too. So BigFish seems to be trying! It's up to US to keep them on their best behavior and to get the best out of them. Why do you think I instituted the Dream Team Elite? Once again, we do not work for BigFish, but we do get results from them!
On to the game. I wish I had read the DTE reviews before I bought it, especially those of Izzyoc and KimTwilight, but it was too late at that point. I believe that if BigFish had brought out this game BEFORE the amazing game from Sunward, it would have gotten better reviews, but after you play an incredible game and then this one, it cannot measure up! First of all the story was not that interesting. It seemed unoriginal and dated. It wasn't very lengthy, even with bonus adventure. The graphics were beautiful, albeit wintry, but those of us who live in the Hurricane State are grateful to anything that makes us feel cooler! You could customize settings. You collect crystal snowflakes, but who cares? Loading was not instantaneous between locations but there was a very short lag time (not interminable like we get from Elefun, thankfully!) There was not all that much to do at each location. There was a marked, if so chosen, teleport map to transport you. Inventory was labeled and interactive and there were complex items to assemble. However, Daily Magic gave us "leaping" inventory, which is extremely annoying! They also gave me a MOUSE to deal with, and nobody had given me a much-needed heads up! Ok, I know, I survived it! The HO scenes did have variation, but they recycled them and there were too many for my liking. You could opt to play a match-3 game instead, but I didn't like it! The puzzles/mini-games were most boring rotational stuff, and none really showed much imagination or originality. You do have Mr. Jenkins to help you, and he is a very pretty Siamese/Persian hybrid, but you need to keep feeding him in order to receive his help. He was not altruistic! You also have a magical amulet. This game was very "cookie cutter" and at best it would get 3 or 3.5 stars. I generally enjoy this series, but this game fell short.
I hope our next game is incredible! Any bets on that one, DTE? Lynxie sends lots of ❤️💋😘👍 your way! Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Fun little romp

With respect to other reviewers, it appears that playing a game that doesn't require ultimate skills is a problem. There are some of us out there that once in a while like to have a fun game to play that doesn't test our brains to the nth degree, this was such a game. I didn't find it boring it was a lot of fun, and a nice change from the doom and gloom games. One last point, that kitty is a Himalayan, not a Siamese.

Bored to tears!

What a boring game - nothing interesting or adventurous here. Too repetitive on hidden object scenes where you match pairs (Yawn)
Puzzles are not challenging at all. Overall, I am going to have a difficult time finishing this one as there is no excitement or challenge. Games lately have been pretty poor. Such a disappointment. Still think Big Fish should give us a free game after taking our money for the PuppetShow: The Face of Humanity ( a game we paid for and cannot even play!
Very disgusted with the quality of games released lately.
