  • The BEST VFX app for iPhone

    WouldFurniture

This is the best app for iPhone VFX and compositing. All plugins work flawlessly, they allow ProRes recording, HDR, and 4k 24 FPS!!!! This is a must-have for all VFX artists and videographers. — ———————One thing I would love though on the app is Apple Log as an option for better color compositing with my Aces-CG renders. Great app, but adding this feature would definitely be loved by a lot of colorists too! If not, I would love to know what color space and gamma the HDR setting uses :).

    Developer Response

Thanks so much for this wonderful review! Regarding Apple Log, we’d love to add as well, but that’s currently out of our reach due to an Apple limitation. Currently, the HDR setting uses the following:- Color space: Wide Gamut (Rec. 2020)- Gamma: HDR Transfer Function (HLG)Thanks again for the review, enjoy!

  • Awesome camera tracking app!

    Pinpoint256

A great app. Exactly what I needed. The mesh it generates is great, and the addon for Blender imports everything perfectly. I’d love it if there was some way to get textures baked into the mesh, maybe while scanning it, so that we’d get reflections all around (similar to PolyCam but in this app so it could all be imported easily!). That would be my number one feature request.

    Developer Response

We're happy you like Omniscient! Adding textures to the mesh is definitely on our roadmap. Thanks for your review!

  • Perfect for hobbiest

    Adamg127

every once in a while I like to go in blender and make something to share and this app allows me to take advantage of my phones hardware in order to skip the painful process of motion tracking footage and possibly having to digitally paint out tracking markers I used. Perfect 10/10

Hi Adam, thank you so much for the detailed review!

  • Seems impressive, but it's just another monthly fee

    hardlysleep.ing

Everything really shouldn't be a subscription, your current customers shouldn't be expected to support your ongoing dev costs, flat fee or I'm out, yall know the majority of your money comes from hobbyists who forget to unsub1 year is 80$ btw, after that you have to resub, most software lets you keep the version you have without updates if you pay for a year

    Developer Response

Hi, supporting hobbyists is actually very important to us, which is why Omniscient has a free version that can already be used for many workflows. The subscription is only there for users who need the more advanced tools.Omniscient is a very niche app that requires ongoing development, support, testing, and maintenance. The subscription model is what allows us to keep improving the app instead of releasing it once and eventually letting it stop working over time. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. We completely understand that not everyone likes subscriptions, and we respect that.

  • It’s amazing

    TheSpendog

… but, I don’t know if I will use it a lot. Missing lots of features like being able to sync it to audio, and since there’s a yearly payment price ;(Would like to see the blender app take native iPhone video files someday.

    Developer Response

Thank you for your review!Could you please clarify what you mean by « being able to sync it to audio »?We’d also love to know what other features you’d like to see added in future updates.

  • Severely underrated app

    unspokentruths

For the value given if you do anything as far as editing or visual effects and you use your phone as a camera then this is the app for you
