Description

One Loop is a 10-track loop-station designed for singers, songwriters & instrumentalists. Whether you want a personalised backing track, or need to record an idea for your next big hit, One Loop brings performance and recording straight to your phone.

Features:
• Simple, easy to use looping.
• Built-in studio quality effects: Noise Gate, EQ, Compression & Reverb.
• Advanced layer control and grouping.
• Metronome selection with a variety of backing percussion.
• MIDI support and mappable control for hands free performance.
• Supports external audio interfaces; up to 8 channels of audio input.

Recording

Whether you choose your device’s built-in microphone for quick and easy use, or an external interface for multiple routing options, One Loop encourages portable creativity. Don’t be restricted by the limitations of a computer when all you need is your phone… and something to record!

Enjoy the app’s seamless looping and build up to 10 beautiful layers with ease. Save your projects for later reference, you’ll never forget those 3am ideas ever again! Make sure to wear headphones for clean recordings with no feedback issues.

Complete Control

One Loop gives you complete control to form your best ideas. Each layer is mute-able and has an adjustable volume slider to shape your overall sound. Assign each layer to a bank of 4 groups (A to D) for quick variation of instrumentation, or different sections of a song.

Setup your Bluetooth or USB midi devices and assign their parameters to trigger any of One Loop’s functions for greater control and smooth performances.

Manage Your Mix

One Loop gives you the controls to refine your recordings with studio quality effects designed by audio engineers: Noise Gate, EQ, Compression and Reverb.

Wherever you’re recording, either in a quiet room or a busy outdoor environment, you can reduce any unwanted noise by adjusting the Noise Gate’s threshold and envelope, to create cleaner recordings.

Boost or Cut the Input’s EQ frequency bands (Low, Mid and High) with a +/- 15dB range to shape the sound of your loop layers.

Adjust the acoustic environment of your mix, from a small garage to a large cathedral, by changing the size & effect percentage of the Reverb.

Settle a busy, complex layered mix using the Bus Compressor’s threshold and ratio controls.

Potentially my next favorite looper!

It’s simple and easy to use and has all the essential features you need for live-looping. The built-in effects are nice and even if people are asking an Inter-app/AU effect slot, I’d rather have the current setup. You can filter unwanted noise and frequencies on the input then add reverb and dynamics on the output.
MIDI mapping works well and I just wish I could find a buffer length setting.

At first launch, I was thinking like “why there are no pan knobs in the mixer?” but I don’t want it now. When you’re out there with just an instrument and your voice, you want everything to be in mono because your audience won’t be standing right in the center of the stereo field.
So I always try to turn on Mono Audio in iOS settings to enforce mono output before doing a gig.

Some minor flaws I noticed are those red mute state buttons and yellow ABCD buttons. The colors don’t match the overall design and are not helping to see in the dark. My advice for the developers is to spend some time on choosing color that both look good in the darkness of the night and under the sunlight of a normal day.
A looper won’t be any good without a clear design and ease of use.

YES (but)

I really like this app. I find it straightforward and found my way in without getting lost or distracted. Up and running fast. I like the relatively rich options available in the metronome. So I will be using it as is in a sort of standalone way- but like many others would love to see it available in audiobus the same way other apps by this developer appear (tape emulator, compressors- each very good as well) looking online I see that many thought that audiobus iaa integration would happen in version 1.1 but that was a year ago I think- and did not include those features- hopefully soon 1.2 will !!

Can’t load saved loops :/

Hi, I just bought the full version and it’s really fun and easy to use. I’d give it 5 stars if it didn’t have this one issue. For some reason. I can’t access saved loops. Every time I press “load”, the app freezes and I can’t do anything. Maybe I’m doing something wrong? I’m running the app on the iPhone 12 Pro. Anyway, besides that the app is great!
