On the app, you can:

- Ask questions, compare electricity bills
- Buy, sell
- Get help with pets
- Share recommendations
- Start a chat group with like-minded neighbors
- Hangout locally
- Foster real-world interactions with the community right outside your door

OneRoof is available to meet new people and make friends in New York City, Miami, Dallas, Austin, Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, Houston, and other cities across the US!

Good app with some issues

Overall I like the app. It does its job - connecting your neighbors in a central place. There are a few issues I’ve run into. It constantly makes me login which is annoying. The bot that urges you to say hi to a newly joined neighbor, there is no way to to that. It just shows the neighbor’s name but it’s not linked to their profile and I can’t figure out a way to say hi. Also when I get a new app notification and click on it, it takes me to the app but is constantly loading. I have to close reopen the app. Also wish there was a way to add your own group. I’m on an iPhone 12 pro max using IOS 15.3.1

Hello thenugespeaks, thank you very much for your note and feedback. We just released a new version fixing most of the errors / inconveniences you've mentioned above. Working on more with the upcoming version. You can update your app to V 0.5.0. To create your own group, go to "DM"s, then click "New Group". Hope this helps!

New user interface is HORRIBLE

Hi all, this app used to be wonderful when it first came out but recently they change the user interface and now it is very confusing to navigate and looks totally different. Also the conversation section is too small and we’re all looking at it on these tiny phones— makes me think the app developers were doing this on a computer screen and not realizing how tiny uncomfortable and inconvenient it would be for us to look at. I literally feel like I’m straining my eyes when I use this app and I’m only in my 30s— imagine how horrible it is for the older adults! Also I was totally confused when they randomly added a chat for the whole neighborhood. They should have asked us if we want to opt in instead of just automatically adding everyone I was totally confused by it. The app also does not feel as safe and personal now that it’s more similar to social network as opposed to a private conversation between people in the same building. The user interface is so confusing and awful that I have basically stopped using the app unless somebody sends me a message in which case I struggle to find it and read it between all these confusing sections. Please change the app back to the old display

Hi Meeeeeeeeee000000,

We apologize that the new UX is not working out as well for you. We just released a new update that brought back the ability for neighbors to make their own groups - either building or nearby (5 min walk) wide. I am also alerting our developers about the font size on the app.

In regards to chat groups, there is the function to speak in just your building or nearby. Those in nearby will not see messages in your private building chat.

Please let us know if there are any other issues at support@oneroofapp.com

Love it, every neighbor should have it in their building

I received an invite in my mailbox to join the OneRoof group in our building, because a neighbor had the great idea of starting a group chat. I think it’s genius, especially if you’re living in a crowded large building. Now I get to know who I live around, and already have so much in common with most! I’m meeting with really cool people here and we are planning a time to get drinks together on our rooftop. I see people selling things and talking about local spots. It’s really an awesome app, especially in the times we’re living. Even if you’re not the social type, I still think it’s helpful to know what’s going on around you.
